1. If you were not in Singapore and your explained the process, you need not worry. In an eventuality, IRCC asks for the PCC, they will give you adequate time and more time can be taken.

2. IRCC can ask for additional documents at any stage. However, it is your responsibility to file a complete application and if any document is missing, the same should be explained in LoE.
Thanks for the reply, So, I can have my hassle-free time onboard the vessel for 6 months and even if they ask for any ADR, PCC I will get an extension citing my employment reasons, kindly correct me if I am wrong in the narrative and if there is anything more to add.

Yes, that is correct. However, you have to respond as soon as you get a communication from IRCC and seek an extension if you cannot meet the deadline.

Yes, any movement is a good sign and Sch A is requested when the info sharing and security has started or about to start.

You have one medicals on file, done on Dec 16, or have you done meds twice?
In total I have done 3 Medicals

1)Expired done on 16th Nov 2019
2) Upfront Medical : 16th Dec2020
3) Upon receiving IME 1017E : 13th Jan 2020

The 1 year will be form your most resent meds, i.e. I am assuming it is 13th Jan 2021 and not 2020.

hi @legalfalcon - another medical expiration related question for you. I've tried to call IRCC but haven't got through for several days, so figured you may have an opinion...

My medical was done last march (my AOR is may 2nd). My medical is still not passed, I assumed due to having a pre-existing condition that probably will generate a PFL but the response to the PFL should be accepted as the amount is below the threshold. Everything else on the application is passed as of dec 9th.

I know that passed medicals that expire often get an automatic extension, and then when that expires, a remedical request is sent.

But I wonder if you know what happens if your medical expires before they've even assessed it? Will it automatically trigger a re-med? or will it maybe at least bring my file up to an officer's attention and get a that PFL finally done?

such a bizarre situation... eligibility, infosharing and security were all passed in the summer a month after R10 was passed. Gave biometrics in october, and criminality passed in dec 6th. Agents I spoke to in december had no idea what the next step was or how it could be triggered to an officer's attention.

Visa is now expired, am in implied status pending a response on BOWP application.

@legalfalcon My GCMS notes show that information sharing is complete & security valid. My status is Ready For Approval Then why are they asking for resubmission of Sch A . Can you please give some insights in my GCMS notes.

Hi @legalfalcon ,

I am an inland PR. I have received my COPR this month and I have already sent my photos for PR to my local visa as per the instructions given in PR letter. The tracking status at CanadaPost shows that photos are delivered to the IRCC office, but there are no updates from them.

I have also linked my PR card application to MyCIC account and there are no updates there as well.

Given the current uncertain situation and no proper updates from the department, I am not sure when will I receive the PR card.

Could you help me with the following queries?

1. Can I travel to my home country before receiving PR card?
2. in order to apply for PRTD, is there any requirement to live in Canada for some minimum number of days?
3. if some specific reason or urgency need to be there to receive PRTD Approval?

Thanks

1. YEs, you can travel anywhere. You do not have to wait for your PR card.

2. No, there is no such requirement. See https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...mmigrants/pr-travel-document/eligibility.html

3. No, the only criteria is
Eligibility
You can apply for a permanent resident travel document if you:

  • are a permanent resident,
  • do not have a valid PR card showing your PR status,
  • are outside Canada, and
  • will return to Canada by airplane, boat, train or bus.

When you apply for PRTD, make sure you have enough time, as due to COVID, there are delays.

When you send a re-med, it will be valid for 1 year and not 6 months.
@legalfalcon Thanks for your response. I did the upfront medical exam and they gave me the e-Medical Information Sheet, but the clinic did a typo mistake when they entered the date of expiration of my passport, instead of typing 25, they typed 28. I explained what happened and that it was a typo mistake and I included a copy of my passport (which they already have) to show them the correct expiry date.
Will that explanation be enough to convince them or they might they reject my medical test due to this typo error?

Appreciate your usual help!

Hi @legalfalcon, in personal history do i need to add dd/mm/yyyy or just mm/yyyy??

The entire amount for my pof is gifted by my dad via a fixed deposit and I have submitted a gift affidavit for this.
In case if the amount falls short due to currency fluctuation and if ircc request for additional amount transfer, Can I top-up my fixed deposit account and submit a new affidavit only for the extra amount? Pls advice @legalfalcon

PS: I have posted the same on your FB page, Please omit if replied here
