Can someone that has received the invitation to apply share the full email address they got the invitation from. Thanks.

apparently, this "randomness" starts from first day submissions... how can this be random?

Hmm maybe they decided to just make it FIFO!!!!

Actually that would be a good way to go.

Make it an "unofficial" FIFO system.

But say it is a lottery.

FIFO is easier for them no need to run any lottery etc.

But with calling it a lottery then there is no lawsuits.

Even though this was not a FIFO system, I would assume that most probably the majority of the applications were done in the first few days.

I don't think so. Because I applied in the first hour and I have not rcvd the invite. Unless, they got 10k people in first few minutes (like last to last year).

The tool to track which confirmation number gets invited would probably be available after IRCC done sending all email invitations... This is for the one who is invited but somehow did not receive any email...

Well the things is we have no way of knowing. The lottery is not drawn in public. So who knows what system they use?

It is also useful for people who are not invited. As when the Tool is activated it would mean that IRCC is done sending invitations, so people who are not invited can quit waiting and move on :-)

Honestly it would be nice to know how many actually applied to begin with for the 10,000 pick. Was it 200,000? 300 000?

We applied on the first day of interest to sponsor on opening day. It is as expected that the draw would be random. As I was picked and sone were picked applied close to closing date.

Hey lucky guys ! Could you let us know the first letter of yours family names ? It seems that the chosen ones from today were B,F,K (from the Facebook group). I only want to see if it true or not..

And.....so it begins we will see people posting asking about how they are short of $X of the required LICO amount needed to qualify to sponsor their parents.........

Sigh

Like clockwork...

Rather unfortunate that are people who applied for PGP thinking they have the income without actually verifying it. That is like bidding on a house before you getting a bank mortgage pre-approval. They end up bidding on house more than the bank will approve the amount and end up losing the bid on the house.
