Haha yeah I can understand. I was in the same boat as you, I have sufficient grounds for urgent processing but I didn't know which method to apply under. I think I'll be going ahead and couriering my application package tomorrow. At least it gets sent to the attention of urgent processing which gives me the impression that may have a slight advantage over online - a relatively unchartered territory at this time.
Looks like we'll be trying for the same timeline, I'm planning to send mine today too. What is your grounds for urgency? I need citizenship for a job and have a letter from my boss, we'll see if that's enough

I just couriered mine today and expected delivery is on Monday Dec 14. Yours will likely be more of a solid reason than mine. I'm applying for urgent processing to be able to visit an ill parent and I can't renew/issue a new passport. From what I heard, for job reasons is better than based off of compassionate grounds. In my case, it is totally at the discretion of the officer and whether he's in the mood or not, lol. As per my lawyer, "they want you to stay in the country, not leave." That says it all LOL.

Has anyone received an AOR after submitting an online application yet?

How are we sure that our applications are atleast already submitted officially?

If online people got aors now, what do you think will happen to the backlog paper apps? I don’t think that will be happening any time soon and will still follow current delays.

I dont know if they would get AOR soon but i think that in-process might be fast because they dont need to send any documents to local office(i hope they dont print it and send it to local office :p ). But after IP at least, i expect that they will existing process which will delay like rest of us.

Well, we will have to wait till Jan to see what happens to Dec applicants.

Question for family applicants:

I always prefer online applications vs offline, can we do two separate applications as individual (one for me and other one for my spouse)?

What if we apply online with a gap of 1-2 weeks but as individuals rather than as family?

You both can submit your individual applications online ... It has nothing to do with your martial status.
The only thing that will differ will be both applications will be processed with different processing times

Infact I am eligible as of today but my husband need to wait few weeks because of trips outside Canada, so I am seriously looking to apply it online.

But if is mandatory or highly recommended to do it together then I can wait few weeks to do it as a family (offline application).

Folks, I am bit confused over the size of the photo. Here it says that photo dimensions are supposed to be 50x70mm, and earlier some people posted that photo dimensions need to be 420x540px based on what I assume they can see in the further specifications once they passed the registration. Problem here is that 50x70 does not convert to 420x540, it's not a valid 1-1 proportion. Any suggestions with this regard?

CIC officer gets the details from cbsa. We have the checkbox to consent to get the records.

I commute daily(till precovid) from Canada to US from 2017 hence i have 100z of entries without the entry stamp of Canada/US. We all can see the I94 history in US side which the exits are shared with Canada and CBSA records will have all entry and exit details. Even though US never stamp while exiting, we can see that we exited and entered canada because cbsa shared the entry details to US so that US records the exits.

Its not nearly impossible to maintain unless one did not plan for it. I have all the records of entries as i update my own google sheet since the day 1 of my Canada PR.

Even if you dont have the travel history then get the US side records (from https://foiaonline.gov/foiaonline/action/public/home) and you can know the dates. We are discouraged getting the records from cbsa for citizenship purpose hence get it from US side.
Hi @harirajmohan - For now, I have taken snapshots of my US arrival / departure history from https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/history-search page and I am submitting those snapshots as part of my citizenship application. Hoping that's okay.
Hi @citizenship.enthusiast - FYI

Hi @citizenship.enthusiast - FYI
During the initial application its fine to keep or not keep this document as its not mandatory but (if at all officer asks on it) you should be ready with the entry-exit history documents (as the officers usually ask from cbp which we can request from https://foiaonline.gov/foiaonline/action/public/home).

Another question (and I am surprised it has not come up yet). I was filling out my "Work and School" section, and I was strongly under impression that we only need to list work and school experience within the 5 year period AFTER I had something to do with Canada, which in my case was directly getting PR via Express Entry. So I filled out all the details from the moment I landed, but the page still does not let me proceed further inquiring to add work and school details for the full 5 year period, which would fall way before I landed and had any status in Canada. Is this normal?
