I am an outland applicant. I think only Inland applicants can call ryt. However, I raised a webform about my application status on Monday. Awaiting response.
I don't think it's required for all inland applicants. From what I've read, it's a follow-up if the name-based check comes back with a result of someone with a similar name having a record. I've never been in trouble in Canada or anywhere else, so I'm not worried. It's just more money to spend and another hoop to jump through!
Can you please share your VO ? Country of Residence? FSW/PNP ? And where did you give your biometrics ?I did see lots of people are calling IRCC to get additional information. I wanted to try as well so i called and yeah you can get it.
Question though: why aren't they putting these information in myCIC account?

I also managed to speak to an IRCC agent a week back as she said my VO is Sydney, Nova Scotia.
Eligibility : Started and in progress
Criminality : Started and in Progress
Security : Not started yet.

Also if I may ask as you shared your Criminality has been marked as "passed". And you have completed your biometrics as well. Is it because you are done with your biometrics , your criminality is passed else it would have been in progress. ?
In other terms , does Biometrics determine the status of Criminality or it is covered under Security ?

@Tommyboy007 quick question : as you are also CEC inland, did you submit or do your RCMP PCC?I'm reading in some of the blogs that RCMP PCC is required for CEC. I have not done it and not received any request from IRCC as well.
However, I'm a CEC Inland and was requested a RCMP Certified Criminal Background Check with fingerprints... Still waiting for the report... Hope this info helps a bit buddy...
