I am sorry but I find these words very harsh used against CIC. I can understand the frustration and everything. But I am pretty sure that CIC is not lazy or anything. They are working hard for sure. They are professional and they know what they are doing. Also not every application is the same. Every application is different. I am sure that they are not biased towards any application.

Also Canada is a country which welcomed us and we wanted to come here not they forced us to come here. Therefore before we start criticising anything we should know that we came here because we found that Canada is better country than our home country for whatever reason we had in mind. So let's be thankful and be patient. Everyone will get AOR and Citizenship eventually. Also remember this is unprecedented time.
I totally agree with you on all the points you highlighted. My only concern is that CIC should at least issue AOR in sequence of files received which is not being followed which is totally unjustified.

Hi @rafzy and @stalker my thought is somewhere in between. Next Wednesday is gonna be 5 months since I applied. I see @rafzy point and i am same when i double check mail not in one place but in two (moved in November) worried if i got package back.

U think, check your email probably 20 times a day and on Friday u say oh well another week past. Then u hope weekends to past fast hoping for next week. And of course every Monday is a no-AOR break.

Again i read on forum to get AOR could be between 4-7 months.

Again I am only speaking for myself. For me AOR is (probably like for most of u) is more important than for example resumption of test. Without AOR there is no test.

Sorry for sharing kinda my tears in some way :)

I called IRCC customer service. Surprised to hear from them that they don’t know if July applications are getting AORs. They always say repeated statements that Applications from April are in Queue.
I am scared if my application (delivered on July-27) was lost anywhere. Though I sent it via Canada Post ExpressPost. But because of Covid there was no Signature on delivery option at that time. Not sure if any mis-handling happen in the application room or by the person who collect mails. Anything can happen. It is really surprising that IRCC didn’t start citizenship application process online to avoid this unnecessary hurdles :(

Okay. Let’s consider a simple scenario.

Agent 1 is assigned Application A
Agent 2 is assigned Application B

Application A is received earlier than B. Application A takes 15 days to do initial validation because of its complexity. Application B takes 3 days to validate. So agent 2 should wait 15 days to provide AOR to Application B because let’s say application A was received early?

We really don’t know how they are allocating applications nor we know how agents are prioritizing them. So we cannot expect applications to be processed one after another.

Also if Agent 1 has 3 applications which might take 15 days for each validation. Then for sure the last application with that agent is going to take longer to get AOR.

We don’t know what they look for before giving an AOR.

So let’s be patient as I said rather than trying to figure out how they process application.

We all are here with each other in this wait. So let’s make it fun rather than flames and anger and all.

CIC is working that’s what we know and that’s what matters.

Stop calling them for no reason and waste their precious time. We all know that they don’t have all the updates. They also don’t have latest stats. They are just a customer support and they aren’t case processing officer. Unless they get updates they will keep repeating the same answer again and again. Do you think that they are deliberately hiding stuff from you?

Also we don’t know how often communication between case centres and these call centres happens.

Moreover stop worrying about the application which is lost or misplaced or anything like that. There are people who hasn’t received AOR yet from April and May.

If citizenship is super important for you that it’s matter of losing a job or anything like that then go for urgent processing. Simple.

Again, please be patient and stop worrying.

hey guys.. I was just wondering, how often does this type of delays happen? If it happened to people in other threads too then we shouldn't worry too much

If it's an outlier then we have reason to be anxious

Amazed to see how caring you are about their precious time
Everyone’s time is precious so is our. It is their job to answer our call and they get paid for this service. No one is doing any charity.
