As an interim solution, while our VACs remain closed, we have implemented an optional 2-way courier service. If you have received instructions DELHI-IMMIGRATION (No Reply / Pas de Reponse) e-mail address to submit your passport using the 2-way courier service, please follow those instructions..



Do not mail your passport directly to the High Commission, if you do it will be returned to you with no action taken. If we are unable to easily return your passport to you it will be turned over to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in India as abandon.



Please do not contact the VFS Call Centre unless:

· you have received an email advising you to submit your passport using the VAC 2-way courier OR

· your passport has been release to the VAC and you have received an SMS message.



SUBMITTING YOUR PASSPORT IN SEQUESNCE/ORDER WILL HELP US PROCESS REQUESTS FASTER

Obtaining authorization to travel does not exempt you from the requirement to have a valid passport and visa. If you are from a visa exempt country, you will require an eTA. The final determination to allow a traveller to board an aircraft is made by the airline, often in consultation with the Canada Border Services Agency. Everyone is subject to examination when entering Canada and a traveller may be denied entry if they are not exempt from the travel restrictions or if they do not meet requirements under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.



Online Temporary Resident applications will not be prioritized unless you contact IRCC at IRCC.COVID-TravelExemptions-Exemptionsdevoyage-COVID.IRCC@cic.gc.ca. Please do not send an email unless you are exempt from the travel restrictions and have an application in process. You must explain; why you are travelling for a non-discretionary/non-optional purpose, and provide acceptable documentation.



PASSPORT RETURNS

Most passports from VAC/paper applications submitted to our offices in Delhi, Chandigarh and Bangalore have been returned to clients. If your passport has not been returned, please be patient as we process your file. If you would like to withdraw your application and have your passport returned, please email us at DELHIIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca. Note that processing fees will not be refunded.
That is the general information email , you will be receiving the instruction email separately very soon. @spzhang ( Indian - SDS) received OPR from Ottawa today and received the instruction email (passport courier submission instruction) on the same day, he already has sent his passport through courier after the instruction email.

Hi sorry was caught up with other things. Yeah I had to drop it in Blue dart delivery center and they will deliver it to you. Charges on you. You will get a separate email communicating this.

That is the general information email , you will be receiving the request email separately very soon. @spzhang ( Indian - SDS) received OPR from Ottawa today and received the request email on the same day, he already has sent his passport through courier after the request email.
All the people who got OPR had submitted their biometrics earlier ?
And what is the timeline

Yes, OPR can only be received by full applicants with DLI on the list. It's typically anywhere between 1 to 30 days after BVL (only after AIP).

I 've gotten the exact same email on Oct 31st. but no signs of approval anywhere
