I sent my application in mid of July via Canada Post ExpressPost to Courier Address (Not the P.O. Address). Signature on delivery feature was not there because of Covid. Although tracking showed it was delivered. But I didn’t get any Acknowledgement of receipt from IRCC so far. Should I assumw my application is lost ? How would I know it is lost / not picked by office person at Dorchester address *or* how long I should still wait before assuming this ?
June people just started getting their AORs. Some people from January haven’t gotten theirs yet. Patience.

Ok, any logical reason January people didn’t Get AOR but Later months are getting ?
Only reason I can think of is each case processor is assigned to a batch of applications. For instance, officer x has not been in the office for long time I guess due to covid so his assignments are just sitting on his desk until he is back to the office. Nowadays, we see February applications are getting aor makes me think the responsible person is back to work... So then one can say if the person is not in the office, why he/she were given assignments, I really have no idea my friend. This is just my assumption.

Some input from June 2020 group:
Hello Everyone!

I received my AOR yesterday and was able to check app status on Ecas. When I logged into my application, the first thing it shows up is your current home address and mailing address before you continue further to see the status. When I filled out the application, I entered my home address followed by a check mark on a box for Mailing address to be same as home address. So I did not enter any info for mailing address.

As per Ecas it showed my home address to be correct while the mailing address showed was the one that I had entered for my PR application in 2016. Since then I have changed couple of addresses but never mentioned that old address in citizenship application.

Had I missed filling out the application properly I guess they would have returned my application to my old address without my knowledge!

For those applicants from March and April who haven’t received AOR, I suggest to check your old address incase application was returned.

Not sure why Cic would do that but I was able to update the mailing address via Ecas and was informed that it may take 15 days for the change to appear.

Hi Anton, The address used for PR applications is usually an overseas address so i am not sure why they would send documents to an overseas address. Or is he talking about the address used when we do our landing and to the one where the PR card is sent?

In my citizenship application I sent mid July I also checked mark the the box stating my mail address is same as Home address and didn’t put anything in Mail address box. It is logical because when we check mark that box automatically the mail address box gets disappeared. But when we click on print form button that box again appears but blank info. Im not sure if the officer check that check mark box or not. Im waiting for my AOR though.

Make sense though

Anyone Sent the Application to Courier address (Not the P.O ADDRESS) Without Signature at Delivery and Received the AOR successfully ?

Hi

People did and received AORs. For july applicants we are still waiting

Hi

Out of curiosity, does CIC issue AORs only in the morning (around 9 or 10am Saskatchewan time) or do they issue throughout whole day?

Thanks Anton. I was curious because on IRCC website it was recommended to send with signature at delivery so I thought probably they also know that there could be chances of mis-handling the application envelop by their employees.

There is a chance of mishandling, I recall my friend sent his and they couldn't locate it for a year.

I sent two applications (family in July, Kids in August) - July applications had a delivery signature with a person name. August ones signature said delivered to manager. Both were with a courier.

Just to add, during COVID19 there is no signatures on canada post expresspost or purolator. Probably Fedex and ups does not have this option as well.

On this forum some people sent their applications in regular mail. I would not recomend this
