As the canada refugee board starts hearing, lets share our timeline for people like my friends who are waiting for their hearing or result. Please mention where you applied, the dateS, nationality and the current situation. Thanks.


We applied in December 2019 with family in Toronto and so far no news.

Thank you. Can you give us more details if its possible. What country you from, what was your reason (political, war, family issue or social) and how you got the results? Did they ask for documents of they just decide on the base of your narrative you summited with your refugee application. Thanks again.

From Yemen, the reason was War, They sent me a mail in November 2019 asking me to prove that I completed my high school education, I sent it to them by a lawyer, after that in February 2020, send me a mail with a decision

Thanks... what countries are consider as expedited ?

Syria, Eritrea, Yemen, probably South Sudan and perhaps a few others depending on the circumstances. They are all countries where there are significant issues like a civil war.
