I called IRCC today and asked if they know when the tests will resume. What I was told is that my office (Mississauga) remains closed and there is no date set for it to reopen. Hence no idea when tests will be scheduled.
they are going to have this biggest backlog, I hope they figure how to move forward on this

I've been a permanent resident for 35 years.... so to finally start the process and corona hit...has been disheartening.

Dear members, hope you all are doing well. I have a situation concerning my Canadian citizenship application and your inputs will be highly appreciated and will help me clarifying things. I have my Canadian citizenship application which is still under process like many of us. And in the process of this my passport from home country has expired and I had to apply for the renewal and now that I have my passport renewed do I have to update my new passport information to CIC? If the answer is yes, how would I do that? I thank you all in advance for your reply.

Just bring It with you when you take your test. I’m in the same situation and called IRCC to ask about this.

Just received the invitation to the test.
March 11th, Winnipeg.
Just me, not my husband.
:(

I'm in Winnipeg too and I just checked your timeline and I don't understand.

My application was received 15 days before and processing 1 week prior to yours. It should have been close enough that I would have written the test the same time as you. :( :( :(

Things don’t work this way, unfortunately. Her husband didn’t get the invite and I’m assuming they sent everything altogether.

I came here at 4 and my parents did not do this for me. There are personal reasons that I have not been able to do this for myself until this time. However, my situation is not funny. :/

It's just so disheartening. I wish they could at lease provide us with some sort of update when they "think" tests may resume...now with corona numbers rising again it likely won't be until the new year.
