Hi guys I did some research on why the Service Canada is still not taking Biometrics.

After all USA has many more active cases and the Application Service Centres there have started taking biometrics.

I am not sure but I think the reason lies in this news article - https://www.biometricupdate.com/202007/clearview-ai-stops-providing-biometrics-service-in-canada-privacy-investigation-still-open

The company which provides the biometrics service to RCMP here in Canada is under investigation for some reason and the biometrics might not start until the investigation is over.

Another update - We can give biometrics in USA too if you have a travel visa for USA. The only problem is Canada-US borders are still closed for non-essential travel. In case it opens we will have a way around our biometrics problem. I tried to book an appointment at the nearest ASC to me in USA and it was possible to do so.

Hello all,

FSW-SINP-Outland
AOR: 22 April 2020
Upfront medical report: 16 May 2020, submitted via webform
Police certificate : 8 June 2020, submitted via webform

I do not see a progress bar & haven't received MEP/BIL yet.

Is there anyone who submitted upfront medical via webform after AOR & got MEP. Kindly share your timeline.

Wishes,
Bull
Hello all,

I raised a webform yesterday, got MEP & BIL today. Progress bar 49% complete.

Visa application center VAC are closed throughout India, as per the CIC website https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/where-to-give-biometrics.asp .

Is there anyone else as well from India waiting to give Biometric ?

wishes,
Bull

Just had a ghost update in my profile. Logged into my account, saw “Application updated” and then in there my Background Check has changed to “You’re application is in progress“.

Hopefully it means the application is progressing.

FSW Outland
AOR: April 8
Biometrics completed June 26 with medical being passed

Hi all!
I have raised a webform and got the responds here today, and I wonder what it means

  • The responsible office verified the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied,
    • you may be contacted via your account if additional information is needed.
· The security background verification is currently valid.

  • The criminal background verification is in process.

Does it mean my eligibility is passed?

Yes through GCMS notes. I waited for 3 weeks to receive mine.
I also applied GCMS notes in June 22 - 2020 and received it 07-08-2020.
Last activity was on june-15-2020 the same date when my medical passed and BIL received . Could I know what was the date under notes/activity section when they check actually your eligibility after R10 OK recommended by program assistant . Because my AOR and yours only have two days difference as mine was 22 - April -2020. Then , I will have an idea when they Crossed 20-april-2020 candidate's.

It would be helpful for all April candidate's.

Thanks again

R10 Okay by program assistant was 10 June
Eligibility recommended pass by case analyst was 13 July.

Hi all,

PNP - Inland
AOR - 29th April 2020
No update in the profile since then...I tried calling IRCC and luckily got connected to the agent once last week.
The agent said they have received the application but the processing has not been initiated yet.
Is there anyone with same status?

Thanks!!

Just checked immi tracker and nobody from March got their ppr. I think they are awaiting for biometrics.
Don’t know how ircc will clear the backlogs.

Yeah, but check the March AOR thread, two got their COPRs in June and one is still being verified if residing in Canada this July.
