I agree .. getting reply doesnt mean anything... Hoping they really work and approve the PPR
They don't approve PPRs currently. They could check your documents, even may do a decision, but they will not give you PPR. they focus on applicants for CEC streem. We should wait. And I believe that we will not see PPRs in our profiles until Canada opens borders. Believe me, I want to be wrong!!!

Really? Getting replies doesnt mean it is moving. The status could be same as it was before COVID lockdown in early march. Even my file is at CIO Sydney.
By that I mean those applications are getting updated replies recently i.e. those are moving from one stage to another, while earlier those applications were getting same statuses!!!

CEC because it is a huge unemployment in CANADA. A lot of citizens/businesses had requested finantial help from government. It is logical, that they want to cover employment needs by internal employee. And CEC means that immigrant already has Canadian working experiance. Of course, I don't say they 100% put on pause all applications, but most of us have to wait more than expected initially...

My guess would be that Canada is currently processing all immigration applications in the priority that least travel requirement is there and thats why we see so many inland applications being approved be it CEC, FSW, PNP. It makes sense that the applicants are already inside the country. If the applicant is not within the Canada boundaries then they are prioritising which country is open for travel.

In one of my telephone calls, I specifically asked the IRCC agent whether there is any different pecking order to process applications other than the AOR date to start with. He confirmed currently its more of inland applications that are getting approved but that does not mean outland applications are not being processed, given the situation. He cut short the conversation saying all applications are being duly considered and none being unnecessarily withheld.

Thank you for your reply. Would you mind if I ask whether you had raised webform or had called IRCC regarding your application status before receiving your note? Was the information that you got from webform/calling different from the note summary?

Thank you for sharing info. By sending webform, I've learnt that my eligibility is still being verified by the responsible office and security background has not been initiated. Honestly, it makes me worry a bit. I have ordered GCMS note on 20th April, let's wait and see the detail of my application.
