Hi All! Please help me here. I land in 2147 but education is in Msc environmental science but performing all duties as per NOC 2147. Can I change the NOC to 2147 now? Please help as the education is mismatched so wanted a clarity on it.

Yeap no worries in changing it as long as you can support the NOC you choose with employment letters. Education would give you separate points.

Thank you bro! BUt question is I want to use NOC 2174 but my education is in Environmental science. In education documents, I can show all the relevant experience.

Employment and/or NOCs usually do have educational requirements but they list them for employers and not necessarily for applicants. There is no requirement for you to work in the same NOC as your education. You will get separate points for education. Then you would get separate points for the NOC you choose and the employment letters you upload to support your application. (1-3yrs Foreign exp, 1-y Canadian exp, Job Offer)

I was, kind of, when I was at 459 (a week ago). But yeah, not anymore.
Just wondering how do they pick people. A person with 469 gets a NOI and 468 doesnt.

You have higher score than last EE draw which was 473, so OINP won't select you for sure... you just need to wait for the next EE draw and you're sure to get ITA

I updated my score like 10 min ago.
Wanted to do it when Id get a letter from IELTS but oh well.
So when I wrote previous message I was at 459. Sorry, for confusion.
But at least I don't feel bad for wasting a NOI since I didn't get it.

If you have significantly different educational requirements than an NOC suggests (especially where the education is connected to a credential for professional practice or similar) then the visa officer may have concerns about whether or not you properly work in the NOC. It's very rare, but it has happened.

With this latest Ontario PNP draw which happened today, how will this affect the upcoming EE score draw on Jan 22nd? I am guessing we will see an increase right probably 474-475 cause now I don't know how much people got NOI. But looking at other threads after a PNP draw, the next EE draw scores generally tend to rise. Correct or wrong?

PNPs usually take 1-3+ months to get approved.

Oh okay, I was under the assumption that after receiving NOI's 600 points are added to your application.

NOI is merely an invite to apply. There's a separate process candidates need to go through to get the actual nomination

Thanks for clarifying, one last thing do we apply for OINP separately or do we wait for them to issue NOI's based on if we meet their needs.

The later for the streams open at the moment. They pick candidates from the EE pool depending on their needs for their province.

You can't apply without an NOI
