Hi, My application returned yesterday . I gave IELTS Academic as Language proof and it was returned highlighting Academic.

When does ECAS get updated? After AOR or after application delivered?

The day after AOR, you should be able to see your app in ECAS and it will show "application received". About 40 days later, it should switch to "in process".

Hello. Regarding your academic proof, I think you can submit IELTS but it should be IELTS-General and not the IELTS-Academic.

Hmmm, people seem to be getting AOR through e-mail, I have yet to see AOR by physical mail.

It varies by location. (See the location processing analysis sheets). However as a rough guide, after the AOR is the IP (In process) which is 4 to 6 weeks - then Test Invite is another 4 to 5 weeks. All of it depends upon volumes and location. We can only look at recent past averages by location. I'd urge you to look at the analysis tabs on the right side of the tabs at the bottom (Scroll over to see them).

I’m going away in Mid November for a week and I hope I don’t get a test invite during that week lol at least they’d give me 2-4 weeks notice before the test date and then I’ll try to arrange something

We are away too for US Thanksgiving Although none of us know for sure - I am estimating the tests will be around Christmas to New Year. Check my time line predictions on my signature section

Hello. Regarding your academic proof, I think you can submit IELTS but it should be IELTS-General and not the IELTS-Academic.

Both are acceptable, the minimum required for citizenship is only Listening and Speaking. Hmmm im surprised they didn't accept. I personally just did CELPIP that tested my listening and speaking skills.
