So in case, the draw isn't today my IELTS expires Aug 18 and the next IELTS date is Aug 17. My score right now is 480 and I do not know what to do since result takes 13 days and I won't get the new result in time for the next draw. What should I do? Stay in the pool and if I get the ITA do I tell them I need to update with new score??
I think you will be just fine. With a 480, if there's no draw today, there should be one within the next week before your score expires.

If I'm not mistaken, once you get ITA, everything is frozen.

No that is what I thought too but now I am told I have to submit all documents before IELTS expires.

Yes, that is why I am booking the test. I just don't know what to do after. I have another test result that's still valid because I took it last month but drops my points a lot since I messed it up. Should I change my result to the latest in case the draw doesn't happen soon or should I accept ITA and then give new results once I get them for the Aug 17 test.
I don't quite get the question, if the draw doesn't happen, how will you get an ITA in the first place to accept it? If the draw happens and you get the ITA then no need to update unless IRCC explicitly asks for a new result. IRCC requirement is that the results be valid when you submit not necessarily after.

First time poster here and hence this could be a naive questions. Once the draw happens, does it take less than 24 hours for people to be notified ? Also, are notifications only sent to those who are selected ?

I am already in the pool and I was told I can still get an invite even if IELTS expires which is why I asked.

Yes and yes. Up to 24 hours. Generally most people get email within a few hours.

Hi, only people who receive invites get notified. They get notified within 24 hours from the draw.

Hi! Draw is notified on the CIC website and if you are at par or above the CRS draw score stipulated you receive an email within 24 hours.
Hope that helps!

The more I come close to get my ITA, the more it goes farther away... disappointed in my luck... I feel lost
We can understand how you're feeling right now buddy. To be honest, I believe you're NOT the only one here feeling beaten by LUCK each time. Infact, its every single member's story here. We've been beaten several times before reaching here. That's how we've become experienced and strong!

Most importantly, Bad time never lasts forever!! There is always a silver lining after a every storm. I, myself, have witnessed the good luck only after being into the pool for almost 6 months, when I received the NOI from Ontario. Keep yourself motivated and determined. Only this way you'll be able to beat the bad luck someday. Patience is the key here. I believe, God has planned something unique and better for each one of us. Its just a matter of time. You'll experience it when the right time will come, not before that! Good luck!

Hi, first time to post here. My CRS will be 453 in Sep and my work permit will expire in Feb 2020. Is there any hope for me?

If no draw happens today....I will reiterate what I said earlier.....artificially increasing the CRS....keeping the score floating around 460...OINP issued around 3300 NOIs in last month equivalent to an EE draw.....besides other PNPS... imagine the score in September with another round of FST draw round the corner.....almost losing hope at 458
