Hi

I am visitor in Canada. Recently got married to Canadian PR girl. After one month found my wife is involved with illegal activities for human trafficking in Canada. She caged me home so that I will not reach out for help. I was punished & abused for one month by my wife and her sister. My wife assaulted on me and I still gave her one chance because of family status in home country. When she was going to assault me 2nd time in public place. I called police from somebody else phone. Police came and arrested but my wife criminal network is huge so police misconducted my evidences. No investigation was run fairly and I was never informed on time about case. I got to know later on that peace bond got signed & my spouse is giving me life threatening warnings again. They are looking to kill me cause now governs knows about these illegal activities too. In all this I am worried about my rights to work in canada. Can I apply for PR or work permit as per new rule? Cause my spouse never applied for my PR. She do fraud marriage business.
Please help

If you are a visitor (on a TRV) and have not been sponsored by your wife, you are not eligible to apply for a PR. You will have to qualify on your own, same as everyone else.

There is new policy from CIC that newcomers in Canada who depends on their spouse and not yet landed to PR will get direct TRP. I have one case in family court going on. Can I get temporary work permit to work in Canada while my divorce going on.’?

Can you provide a link to the new policy from the CIC/IRCC web site?

My martial status effects my score for generating work permit
No - it doesn't. To qualify for a work permit you need to obtain a job offer and approved LMIA from an employer.

I hope workers will not abuse this new rule also. They could easily make up stories so they could stay longer in Canada.
No they can’t make up stories cause investigation will happen after complaint if found correct things will go bad for company or if not then for worker

So you are not living/being caged by your spouse any more, right?
As a visitor, your best option is to return to your home country (safty) and file divorce. Start a new life back home.
