Enlighten the rest of the forum how a 30 plus candidate with the highest degree and ielts percentile would be able to pull this amazing feat and not worry? Oh yeah worrying for us, whining for you. Sorry
I did it in early 2018 at the age of 33 with a CRS of 462 (w/spouse), where both of us scored 8.5 on the IELTS (first attempt). The guy's post does come across as patronizing, but it's not. All potential immigrants on this forum - please remember that this is a competitive process and it's only going to get more competitive in its current form. The only way ahead is to work hard and keep pushing your scores up. In the worst of cases, look at PNPs like the ones in BC. It's not a hopeless situation at all. Just that FSW and OINP are probably the toughest routes of entry to Canada and beating yourself up over it isn't going to help. All the best!

Thanks for your advice but is '(first attempt)' part necessary? Some people try more than once and get struggled.

POST ITA QUERRY
My score is 468 and I have just finished post ita form after which you have to upload all the documents. I've encountered a strange problem-

After completing the form, a tab appeared written "Preview your score'' and when I entered, my score was 475. After checking each parameter I noticed that I had got 126 points in "Level of education" which were 119 earlier.
I have a MBA which was assessed as bachelors by our dear friends at WES so I lost 7 valuable points.
Is this the same 7 points I am getting or is there anything else is going on as whats the point of increasing crs after ITA? Can someone please shed some light to it, any inputs would be helpful.
Don't worry! As long as score you actually deserve is more than cut off in that draw you should be fine.

Guys, for the reference letter my team lead is ready to provide it to me. But the problem is that the company's HR dept will not provide the company letter head.. what do i do in this case?
CIC mentioned on the official website that it should be on company's letter head. Try to explain that to HR. Maybe request it on letterhead via email so that you have a proof of your conversation.

If they are strongly denying to provide it on the letterhead then you can get the letter notarized. For precaution you can include your manager's signature along with HR's for making your letter strong.

Thanks, but my query was:
1. Duration 1: I stayed for more than 6 months
2. Duration 2: I stayed for 1 month

Do I need pcc for duration 2 also?
Yes you do. You can get one PCC for both stays but make sure that it is dated after your last day in that country. I mean all the days you stayed there during 6 months and 1 month should be included in PCC so that they know you didn't commit a crime on your last day.

- I moved to Canada before I turned 18. Does that mean I only need canadian PCC? Do I have to explain somewhere why I only provided PCC for three years (time I have been in Canada)?
- I used to work at my current job as casual worker but now I am full time. Do I need sperate reference letters? My job title is same and job duties are same as well.
-Do I need to submit additional proof for my work experience as casual worker (variable hours per week)? Do I need to show CIC how I calculated work experience with variable hours?

I would be really thankful if you guys can clarify my doubts. :)
You don't need to submit any PCC then. They will request a RCMP check if they need one.
One letter should be sufficient according to me.
