how did get AINP? what did you do ? can you guide please ?
I got it out of the blue really. Due to my NOC most probably as my current line of work is in oil field and Alberta is known for that. There are in-demand NOCs on AINP website; mine isn't even listed there but they still showed interest. I could have had 441 since Nov 2018 and already got ITA in the 439 and 438 draws but for me, it's a much better tradeoff to have family in Alberta than being alone in, say, Toronto. Please let me know if I can be of more help.

Thanks for your help. It is the duties i am having issue with and i have already altered them abit. I can't alter them anymore since i had already applied for express entry before and showed cic this job(duties) but didn't claim any points for it. they might suspicious if i change it in my second application. Don't you think?
Please correct me.. Did you apply or did you just submit your profile before?

There is a difference between these two. Making a profile doesn't mean you've applied, instead it means you have just submitted your application into the pool.

You are unable to apply untill you're invited to do so with ITA (Invitation To apply).

In the former case with ITA, if you have already applied with same job duties then yes it would be a big deal if you alter these duties as CIC already have rejected application's details (if any) . However, if you do so then make sure that you've appended an LOE along with reference letter.

Whereas, In latter case without ITA, if you have made your profile with wrong NOC previously then you can update it anytime that's the reason why they've provided the update button. If you're still suspicious about it, then simply withdraw your existing profile and make a new one with relevant job duties and NOC.

Hope this clarifies your doubts.

Thanks for your reply ! I hope WES processes my credentials soon to get the ITA before IELTS expires !
I tried to google and i was confused as to whether it should be valid until document acceptance or until ITA .
Age gets locked at ITA. Ielts and other documents should be valid until AOR

Thanks for your reply ! looks like I must retake my ielts in that case !
Language tests
Check that your language test results are valid. They are valid for 2 years after the date of the test result. They must also be valid on the date you apply for permanent residence.

If your results expire before then, you should:

  • be tested again or
  • apply before your test results expire (if possible) or
  • decline the invitation and go back into the pool to be considered in the future
If you apply for permanent residence with language test results that have expired, we'll reject your application.

it should be valid i think until AOR.

The score is not going over 460 tomorrow. Last time, the score was over 460 was in January 2017 when the score was 468. I went over the draw schedule since 2017 and it looks like no matter how long the gap is ( several incidents of 3 weeks and a couple of 4 weeks) the crs score didn't jump over 460 which leads me to believe that most of the applicants are in the 450-460 zone.

I too am inclined in that 450-460 range. But if you look at the February draw this year, the 3 week draw bumped up the score to 457, which could say that most of the profiles are 455+, at least with this year.

Lets see, less than a day for the bombshell :D

When people have to wait for the Bank proof that they have sufficient amount. Imagine if you have an account in SBI :p
It is easiest to get the certificate from SBI. Since they don't write themselves, all we need to do is to prepare the letter ourselves and make them sign. It took me 2-3 minutes in aggregate at SBI.

I dunno if i am right but i can vaguely remember that people were having issues with WES evaluation and there weren't enough people in the pool hence the score dropped to 438. After the WES evaluation got back on track alot of 450+ applicants entered the pool at once and the score jumped to 457 but didn't cross 460 (also, there was a 3 week gap between the draws).

Let's see what happens tomorrow, we can get a better picture.

Lets be realistic. They might extend to 4000/4100. 5k is expecting too much..But yeah, would love to have 5K though. :)
CIC should simply move to four draws in an year, with one each in the beginning of each quarter e.g. 1 Jan, 1 Apr, 1 Jul and 1 Oct. The draw size should be 25,000 ITAs.

The above approach with ensure fairness and consistency. At the same time, it will reduce the anxiety levels.

Conducting a draw every two weeks is inefficient because unemployment rate is not something which needs to be monitored at a weekly level.

This would cause a huge influx of applications to be processed at the same time. Also, I think it would be unfair to those who enter the pool right after the draw.

I also think it would drive the scores much higher. Seasonality plays a role, not every two weeks will happen to have super high scorers enter the pool. This would give an opportunity to low scorers to be chosen when not so many high scorers are in the pool.

The more the draw is frequent, the lower the cut-off scores. There will definitely be some months when there aren’t many new apps.

No thanks. You miss one of those dates by WES' shenanigans, your thing gets delayed by 4 months.
And also, the processing time after the ITA will most likely increase.

Edit: 3 months
