Study Permit Refused

Hi, I applied for the study permit on 2nd of Oct and got refused on 6th of Nov the reason was:

You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay. In reaching this
decision, I considered several factors, including:
- immigration status in country of residence
- purpose of visit
- personal assets and financial status

I am not living in my home country, I am living in another country with my family, I am 19 years old I just graduated from highschool so I don't have any assets, but I provided a letter of sponsorship from my parent and my mother bank statement with CAD $ 34,000 in it, and a proof of a home owned by my father back in my home country. I want to reapply but I don't know what else should I improve, or show.

Please, anyone, help me and tell me how to satisfy the visa officer, and convince him that I am returning back after I finish my studies.

Thanks

Hi,

I too have got refusal. And most of these reasons are generic in refusal reasons. Order caips notes over there you will find the exact reasons why your visa has been refused .I too have ordered for CAIPS and it takes max 30 days. Don't reapply without caips notes, because without it you won't know the shortcommings and get your session for next intake because 30 dayy for CAIPS and now it's November. You won't be able to make up for the JAN intake. I have done the same.
Good luck

- immigration status in country of residence

The embassy is the branch of Abu Dhabi, and I applied for a study permit.

Hi,

I applied for the VISA study permit in Canada as I want to do my Ph.D. in Ontario. My country of citizenship is Montenegro, but currently, I am living and studying in South Korea, so I applied from Seoul. Today I received a letter that my VISA got refused on the following grounds:

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of
residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

• You also failed to provide evidence of your declared:
-study plan
-post-secondary studies
-status in current country of residence
-own funds/savings.

The thing is, I applied electronically, so I could not submit more documents that needed, so no place for a study plan, post-secondary studies, status in the current country of residence. Did I do some mistake there? Could they be uploaded in some other way?

About the first three reasons, I am afraid I do not understand them. Could someone please explain them a bit more, as I want to apply again, so I would like to know what mistakes I did before.

Thanks a lot for your time and patience.

Best.

Hi,

When did you submit your application and when did you get the reply that you have been refused?

I also wasn't able to upload my post-secondary documents since there was no option in the online application. Still have no idea how to send these documents to them.

I applied on 25th March, and today I received a letter. In the meantime, they send me a necessary request for the police certificate and biometric requirements, but no trace for the other, above listed documents.
2nd time I will apply "on paper". So print out everything, ask for additional docs from my Canadian University, seal everything and bring it up to them in person.
But still don't understand the second reason of refusal?!? Any comment on that?
What about you? When did you apply, and why you got refused?
Generally, is it hard to obtain a VISA study permit for Canada, or I'm a special case?

I applied on April 17. No results yet, but I also missed out some documents since there's no place to upload them.

From the time you submitted your application and the time they sent you a letter of refusal, they didn't ask you to send the missing documents?

Hi,

The first reason is regarding your chosen course of study, what are you currently studying(degree, masters, phd?) and what área is the phd in canada in?

The second reason is saying that the phd you want to pursue in canada has no good job prospects in south korea and therefore you will stay in canada and not return to korea once you complete your studies, you must prove to the visa officer that you will return home after your phd is complete.

The third option is about your financial capacity to pay for your phd and also living expenses in canada.

am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of residence.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.

Pursuant to paragraph 220(a) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue.

Thank you very much for you comment. Now things got a bit clear for me. Is there some preference in applying online and on the paper? It seems that online you cant submit all documents or it is just me who made this terrible mistake.

Nope. They didnt even once asked for above listed documents. They asked additionally for the police certificate and biometric info but nothing else.

It shouldn't matter, you probably didn't find the right section to upload the other documents.
