Guys, one more stupid question. If I have had "we are processing your BG ..." status since I passed the medical exam and biometrics, does it mean that I met eligibility criterea? Or should it be reflected in the top field of my application status?

I see a lot of worry and counting down to the "six months" date, but my understanding is this is a totally arbitrary date which doesn't really mean a lot. From looking at the various forums and trackers, the 80% approval in six months statistic may no longer be accurate, due to higher volumes of applications since late last year.

The bar in your profile doesn't mean anything much, since it is not based on your file except that it's your AOR date plus six months. The expected completion date seems to never be updated even if CIC knows your file is going to take much more or much less time. I think the bar is only there give an artificial feeling of progress, so people call them less.

That being said, call centre agents are a little more likely to look up details for you if you are past the six months line. So if you are past six months and have not called them, please give that a try! I got lots of useful info from the agent and lots of stress relief (see my previous post about this). The Visa Offices may also periodically try to fast-track files that are past six months, to help with their statistics (total speculation here, but it would make sense).

In terms of what to conclude about your application taking more than six months - the vast majority of reasons are due to bureaucracy, and do not mean your application will be rejected. It's really hard for all of us waiting, with our plans on hold and our futures in the balance, but the six months line does not mean much, and going past it is not a major cause for concern.

If anyone knows differently on any of this, please feel free to comment.

I read somewhere that the 6 months actually starts from the date your R10 checks are completed and not the date of your AOR.

The average timeline for FSW-O Indians from Ottawa is 160-200 days.

Ottawa has really slowed down now. Your eligibility has been met but my file has been untouched since it was transferred to Ottawa :(

So many people are left in the dark.

i applied in April 2018 under the FSW class but my app was refused because i do not have sufficient proof of funds. However, I passed my medical, security, criminality, and background check. I re-applied under the CEC in October 2018, using the same medical result which was more than 6 months valid at the time. My 6 months processing time has been completed on April 2nd 2019. When I called CIC, I was told my eligibility, security, criminality, and background check has been passed, but my medical is been put up for review at the Etobicoke office. I was worried why the review, because I used the same medical results earlier and CIC passed. Although my spouse has a health condition that was declared to the panel physician when we went for the medical in April 2018, and she currently takes her medication. So i am concerned that the same medical that we passed earlier is now been subjected to a review. Although, it took a while also for the medical to be passed when we initially applied under the FSW class, i guess it was subjected to a review then as well, but eventually, the status changed to " YOU PASSED THE MEDICAL". The medical will expire on the 17th April 2019, but CIC has not asked for any re-medical either from me or my spouse. The agent told me to be on the look out for the final decision between now and the 8th of May, 2019. Quite worried but trying to stay positive.

I wish immitracker had NOC section. I am thinking it matters a lot. Plus if one answered yes to statutory questions.
Yes, I've been wondering that too. Surely it can't be all random. There definitely has to be some kind of pattern. Obviously, answering yes to statutory questions may cause some delay in security checks.

Actually, Australian PR's are filtered based on their job codes. So the applicants with most in-demand job skills get their PR faster than the rest.
