Could you please confirm , for the ppr email do we get this over email only or do we get this on cic account as well?

Actually, i am not sure how but my office email id is registered in my cic account and i am planning to leave the company in few months , so it won’t be possible to access my office emails after resignation, or is there any way to change the email id??

Thank you so much!

One more thing - on the above link there is a questions that says -
Is your application being processed by an office OUTSIDE Canada?
Yes or No ?

I have applied for PR from India

Then it will be OUTSIDE Canada. Inside is for people who are already living here and have applied from within the country. Just select your VFS office from the dropdown after you select the Outside option.

Hi @legalfalcon ... kindly would you help me to understand my scenario..,,
Aor 13 sept
Fsw-O
Rprf. 24 feb
I called IRCC on Thursday and was told by agent that my Eligibility and Criminality is passsed..
I emailed ottawa on 15 th March to know about my eligibility or any further information on my file as I already crossed the 6 months , that’s the response which i got today..

Your file is currently under review an requires additional verifications. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times.

Unfortunately at this time we are not able to determine when your application will be finalized, but our office will contact you as soon as all verifications are completed, or if any additional information or documents are required.

What does additional verification means? Is it for security or eligibility?as agent told me i have passed the eligibility. Am i in security screening?
Would appreciate your response.

Hi @legalfalcon

My Aor is 27 Sept 2018
Medical passed 25 Oct 2018
BG Check Starts 7 Feb 2019
Received Gcms on 12 March 2019 showing
Eligibility - Review Required
Criminality - passed
Security - Not started

Review required is for reference letter for one of my experience. I have uploaded the updated reference letter again next day after receiving gcms.
Now I called cic yesterday and agent said that they have received the documents and updated in my application. As my application is in RR queue and they cannot confirm when will officer review it.
Please guide me how much time they will take as only 4 days are left for 6 months completion.

No one can speculate how much time it will take. Also, the 6 months processing time does not start from he AOR date, it starts from the date when your application passes R10 (completeness check)

The additional verification re for security. This is a generic email, but your application may be in SS. You need CBSA notes to confirm.

PPR email is sent by email to the address you have on file with IRCC.

Hi again!
So something a bit weird happened. In January of this year, I raised a CSE for an update on my application (AOR June 2017). I knew csis were done with my file by then and had sent back their recommendation to cbsa. I received a reply on my email the next day from LVO that my application is still undergoing background checks. So I assumed CBSA hadn’t yet sent it back to CIC. Since then, I haven’t raised any CSEs or status inquiries.
But oddly enough, I receive a message today on my cic portal, and it says that its a reply to my inquiry, and that my application is currently under review.

Why would they send me an update I didn’t request? And since they didn’t mention background checks, is it safe to assume that part is finally over?

I am sorry to be the 'bad news breaker' but if you go into RR then be prepared for a long wait....People have been waiting 13-14 months in RR...

@legalfalcon Can you please explain the activities carried out by primary vs secondary office? Say primary office is Ottawa and secondary office is Edmonton, what activities will be carried out by each VO?

Many thanks

The Primary office is usually the CIO. Central Intake Office - Here, the R10 (completeness check) is done at the Central Intake Office for all classes (FSW / PNP / CEC). Now even the criminality and medicals are done at CIO.

The eligibility may start here, but concludes at LVO.
