I called CIC once and they gave more or less the same information that is available on my account.
Eligibility in progress, background check is not yet started, MEP cleared.
GCMS notes will let me know the progress on eligibility and if I need to take some proactive steps

I've a similar situation, AOR on 17 Nov 2018, MEP 18 Dec, 2018, ADR on 21 DEC 2018, since that time, there is no update in my profile. It still shows the IP1 message, We'll let you know when we start your background check. and We are reviewing the additional documents submitted by you. It's been almost 3 months with no update. and the progress bar shows 10 weeks.

As per the CIC agent, my status is:

1.elegibility met.
2. Medicals passed
3. BG check not yet started.

Can anybody please help here based on their experiences, how much does it take generally to complete the BG check and if any other round is pending post BG clearance.

Note: 16th Nov AOR
10 weeks remaining

Going for a short trip, to visit my spouse who is in Canada to celebrate our anniversary. I am a full time employee and plan to resume back after this short visit. My PR application is in Montreal office (hidden somewhere), I think I can take a chance.

Ordering GCMS notes is not a scam at all....People can order free of cost if they are in Canada....
Search on here for all cases where people received PR within few days of ordering GCMS notes...I promise you, you will find atleast 20-30 cases if not more....

I applied 2 sets of GCMS.
One on Jan 4th
and one on Feb 6th
The first GCMS notes were generated on Jan 16th (according to the second set of GCMS)
and my eligibility and criminality was passed on the same day (within 3 mins between themselves according to the second GCMS notes).
And also received "How to find a job in Canada" email on Jan 16th.
PPR on Feb 28th.

WOW!! So GCMS notes triggered your file to move ahead?

I still haven't received my first GCMS notes, should I just apply for second one :D:D:D

I have the exact same message since Dec 4 when ADR was requested and submitted.

Nov 2 AOR.
