I ended up calling CIC and getting information from the automated system. They told me that they are reviewing eligibility, requested medical exam, they do not need fingerprints at this time and will contact me if this changes, and processing my background check.

I called my rep and the office support told me he was not there today so I sent him a text asking for him to check his emails because CIC sent the med request and the time frame is so limited. I ended up getting some emails from him a few mins later stating my husband was sponsor approved, and my medical exam info all dated from yesterday March 7th. So good thing I am a type A person and called.

The soonest I was able to get in to be seen was March 29 in my husband's city (hoping we can go for lunch right after then I'll go home). Let's hope my flu is completely done by then. Since the automated system said they are processing my background check (but did not mention a start date) should I include that on the spreadsheet, or will there be an official notice of when the background check is started on ECAS?

Hey Jan applicants! Has anybody got the notification of passing medical yet? I noticed nobody has updated if they did. Its nice to see any update/progress.
I received an email back that they have forwarded the biometric fee receipt to the responsible office.
Has anybody got biometric?

I paid the biometric fee still haven’t receive confirmation that they got it or the biometric letter to know where to go get it done .

With biometrics they don’t guide you to a VAC, you can choose from the following list:

Yes I seen this but we can’t do anything until we get the biometric letter , that’s what the email stated

what does CI stand for? is it a common acronym we use here? Although it sounded like a file-transfer notice email but I am not sure what the acronym stand for and it moved from Sydney Canada to Sydney Australia? Do you mind to share more details about your letter?

Yes you need the collection letter to be able to get them. I was more referring to you saying “to know where to get it done”

That’s great progression, your next step will be AOR2, this email will go to the PA, and you’ll see a change in ECAS under the PA stating when they started processing it and acknowledging that they’ve received it at the local VO.

There’s no official notice, it’s a bit messy as it’s literally when you notice it change on GCKEY.

Mines been processing since I got AOR1, so that’s the date I used.

Oh. I don't have access to that because we used a rep. I guess if the system said it was being processed I should just figure that it's being done and use today's date. Thank you.

If you’ve not got access to GCKEY, where are you getting the information that your background check has began?

Find out your UCI and application number if you have already received AOR1 then you'll not need to tell them your updates.

She said there is no updates yet, really strange cause we submitted our application january 3. And no emails until now about the AOR
