Being that the only approved doctor in my state can do my medical in April, is there any way I can do my medical in Canada? I was hoping to visit my spouse in early April for a couple of weeks...how ideal would that be to get the medical done while I'm up there? Or is that wishful thinking?

Thx.

You can do it at any panel approved physician internationally.

Does anyone know when we get the request for biometrics? Ive received medical request a week ago.

Just received SA.. whew.. heavy weight off my back..

what does it say if anything?
Just the following:

"We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.

You may not hear from us for a little while, this is normal. Most of the progress on your application happens closer to your estimated completion date."

ECAS says they've send the medical request, so odd that GCKey doesn't...

It doesn't mention anything about me being approved as sponsor or the medical request we've already received... is this normal, or should I contact IRCC?

I got the go ahead to get my medical yesterday March 5. YAY!

I called the place closest to me, actually the only place in Washington that is approved by CIC on their site, and that place is booked into April, and they said they will give me a call in april to set up an appointment, way past the 30 day time immigration needs me to get it done. (Frustrating).

Questions:
Do I have to go to a CIC approved doctor? I noticed on the PDF they sent over it said this on the list of things to bring to the medical exam:
"Four recent photographs. You will need to bring these only if the doctor you select from the list of panel physicians
does not work with IRCC via the eMedical system. Please check with the doctor’s office when you book your appointment"

Do I sit and wait till April? If so do I let CIC/Immigration know this place is booked till April? And how do I let them know?

Thanks in advance. Pretty frustrating that there is literally one doctor in each state that does this.
You have to visit a panel physician authorized by CIC, also please note there will be 5-10 processing days for physician to get the results and upload it to the system. I am not 100% sure but I assume they would expect to see your exam results within the 30 days window.

So if you think you’ll likely to miss the 30 days window I would suggest to call cic and notify them, just in case.

4 required photos: my physician did not require pictures, the nurse took photos in the lobby of our clinic with her phone and uploaded to the system. Double check with your physician about the photos, and also eMedical system is faster to process according to CIC.
