i called cic yesterday they said security check is not started.

I just called CIC 10 mins ago. They said my latest update is on Jan 22nd,2019. The interesting thing is that on the same day I called them and ask if I passed background and they said yes. Is the latest update about the phone call record I did on Jan 22nd? Or the phone call can make the officer notice my case a little lagged so that they would increase the processing rate?

What is their timeline like?My friend got PPR yesterday and their application is received on nov 1 2017.... sometime I really don't get how the cic doing their application, I applied in Oct still no update
No, they send a uniform email to everyone, whether you are inland or outland. That way is easier for them. Then they state in the email, if you don't live in Canada or USA then you need to send them an email and then they will reply and direct you to a visa office that is near you. I am an outland and I received ppr yesterday.
I think what happen is an agent with whom you spoke on Jan 22, left a note in your application for a officer that you application close to 19 months period.
That’s what I said. That they’ll indicate the nearest visa office that you’ll send your passport to. If they know your nearest office then they obviously know your location. Glad you received your PPR already.
