How CIC checks the genuineness of work experience. My current company is reluctant to give any reference letter or anything of that sort. But one of my client(registered company) has agreed to provide me the same with appointment letter, reference letter and payslip... Also I will get it from a higher authority in the company(director level) with his official email ID and all details.. What could be the chance CIC will object on it...

In my opinion, you have to get it from your employer and not a third party. That many be construed as misrepresentation baring you for 5 years.
If your workex in prior organization is more that 5 years and you have those reference letter then you need not worry getting reference letter from your current organization.
Alternativly, you may get the reference letter from any senior in your current employer or even a collegue and send it to CIC with a LOE explaining the situation. If you have mail communication from your current employer that which states that they don't provide or won't provide such a letter then it is even better explaining in the LOE.
Hope this helps.

I faced a similar situation with my previous employer not ready to give me a LOE in the detail that they asked for. They didn't write stuff like no of hours, pay grade etc despite me giving them the template for the letter and asked me to attach the LOE with the offer letter. So that's what I did. I attached the LOE, the offer letter and the email exchange. Personally I'm a little more concerned about another employer of mine since they don't have a web presence whatsoever so I believe that it could get tricky if they try to do a Web search which is CIC's first layman way of doing BGC on work experience.

I am also convinced on this to a large extent. I feel the status bar will help them let go of a standard 6 month processing timeline so that after that each case is unique in itself and non comparable under one parameter that all of us are bounded with.
Right now we are aware of 7-8 major steps like info sharing, MEP, eligibility, criminality etc and until unless they decide to introduce more such parameter to make the process more transparent, the whole exercise would be a sham.
Also, since it would be expected completion timeline, it can be changed at anytime during the process if one particular step is taking more time.
But still keeping positive and hoping that I would be of some sort of help to all of is here. Cheers.
Completely agreed! Your positively does help, and it is important that we see each other through this crazy process, that's a true test of our patience!!! Kudos to you for keeping up your spirits, and boosting other people's morale through your optimistic posts :)

For my part, I hope the progress bar categorizes the process into its actual components, rather than the mind numbing messages on our CIC account.

What would it take for them to deal with the 4 components as the GCMS notes do! For instance:

1. Eligibility - Not Started - In Progress - Review Required - MET/RECOMMENDED PASSED - PASSED
2. Medical - Not Started - In Progress - Repeat test required - Passed
3. Criminality - Not Started - In Progress - Passed
4. Security - Not Started - In Progress - Passed

I mean, c'mon, they themselves prepare the GCMS notes, so it isn't too much to expect that the messages in our CIC account, and any progress bar mapped to it, should also reflect the process as it truly stands. Lumping Criminality and Security under the same Background Check banality, as well as keeping Eligibility at 'We are reviewing whether you meet eligibility requirements' is hardly commonsensical.

Any who, I've put my 2 cents out there, and I hope @sid1987 can convey it to his gym friend who is from RCMP ;)
