Minor development for our demand : Revenu Québec had transmit or will transmit my financial record of annual taxes and other related information to Immigration Canada. I have received a letter to my address in Québec from Revenu Québec about this. Slowly, but surely.

Received notification they began processing the PA application, as of Oct 12 (I'm the PA). And then Oct 13 I received my invitation to pre-arrival services.

Still waiting for the physician to send in my medical exam, they said it should be in by today so hopefully CIC processes that quickly

qq - how does the file transfer works? do they actual send the submitted paper application to the local VO or Mississauga?

Or they have some kind computerized way to doing that? just wondering because its been almost 10 days for me after the medical request and no update.

qq - how does the file transfer works? do they actual send the submitted paper application to the local VO or Mississauga?

Or they have some kind computerized way to doing that? just wondering because its been almost 10 days for me after the medical request and no update.

If Case Processing Centre find the sponsors to be eligible,they transfer the sponsorship information and a positive recommendation electronically to the appropriate visa office through Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System (ex- CAIPS). In addition, it would send the IMM0008 and the supporting documents in paper format to the visa office for processing, hopefully BY AIR not by SEA LOL....
If they find the sponsors to be ineligible, Case Processing Centre would transfer the documentation to the visa office along with a negative sponsorship recommendation. Or, in case the sponsor has specified a stated preference for discontinuing the application, the Case Processing Centre would need to discontinue the application for a permanent residence visa. Ineligible sponsors might opt to not continue with the sponsorship. In this case, the CPC would need to close the electronic sponsorship records.
As the technology advances things keep on changing so are the Processes. They now ask applicants upload Photos thru web in few doubtful cases. But I am sure in future they will accept all photos thru web.

Thanks for clarification. I was wondering may be Canada post strike would have made some impact in the transfer if they send some documents in hard copy via mail if the office is Mississauga.

RIGHT! They use Canada POST for returning docs , regardless how you sent them i;e courier etc.. They will 4 sure send it by Canada Post even if STRIKE is on

I have a similar situation. Its been a week since I passed the medical and there has been no notification about the transfer whatsoever. Simply wondering whether they are gonna transfer it to Mississauga or to the local VO.

The transfer will be communicated via email to the sponsor. The attached letter will say where it was forwarded to.

I just got an update to our application that it has been forwarded now to CPC-Mississauga for further processing.
