Hi tniro,

Thanks for the response, how did u send the transcripts from SLIIT to WES. Does SLIIT itself send the transcripts directly to WES.

If you don't mind let me know which degree you had done with SLIIT (Curtin/ BSc/ BIT)

Thanks Heshan.

I have a Bachelor's Degree from University of Colombo and it was assessed as a 4 year degree by WES. What I want is to do another certificate/diploma so that I can be eligible for "2 or more" category. So before doing such a course, I need to make sure it is recognised by WES. I thought of doing Certificate in IT of BCS. What is your opinion about it? Do you know anyone who has got an ECA for any BCS qualification?

Thanks
If you have completed all 4 stages of BCS your WES evaluation should be equivalent to a Canadian Bachelor's Degree
In my case since I only completed until the Diploma Level, the WES outcome came out to be a 2 year Diploma.
It would be advisable to complete all 4 stages of BCS to get a positive ECA from WES

Hope this helps...

Create a WES account and get the reference number.
Go to SLIIT and tell them you want to send your transcript to WES and they will provide a form and fill with your details and WES reference ID and hand over money (12000 LKR). They will ship (UPS) your documents , next ask for your tracking ID from the SLIIT (usually a girl named Saumya handles this kind of stuff). Go there , you will get lots of info.

I did the 4 years (Hons) degree.

Hi Heshan,
How was the WES assessment process handled with UOC, did the university directly send transcripts to WES or what exactly was the procedure ?
Hi Gamage, there are 2 options.
1. University directly send the transcript to WES.
2. University signs the transcript, and then prepare the envelope (according to the format given by WES), and give to us. So, we can either register post or courier the documents.

I used 2nd option...And I sent via register post..It will take around one month to get the results from the date of register post. If you use courier option, the process is much quicker, but it will cost you more.

Guys,Can you please share your timeline.. Mine is as below.

AOR: 22nd May 2018
Medical passed : somewhere around June 25-28
IP1 since then....

Does anyone receive PPR recently and does anyone know their Local Visa Office?
I have found out a thread where we can send a mail to get to know our LVO...Email address: CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca

However, still I didn't get any reply from them...But,there was an automatic reply which tells, they will not respond to the queries regarding this via email..we need to submit the request through a web form. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp

Seems this is taking long time than usual...Got to know that there is a significant delays in processing applications...This delay is for the applications submitted from this year March onwards...Before that, a smooth processing was happening...In a different thread, someone noticed due to current situation, it will take at least 4-6 months to move application from AOR to PPR...:-(
Avg processing is 06 months for 80% of the applications. But July AORs will see more PPRs by Oct end Nov start, hopefully.

Yup, hopefully...Even though the avg processing time stated as 6 months for 80% applications, most of the completed applications were processed within 2 months previously. From, this year beginning onward, things getting slowed up...That's the issue...
