Hi @legalfalcon ,

Recently my work location has changed including work contact number.

should I need to update this to cic??

Thank you!
Absolutely yes. You should inform IRCC. This is because if IRCC wants to verify your employment, they should have your contact number, and the location you work at. Will make things simpler. Just send a CSE and update.

Hi @legalfalcon I got my GCMS notes and it's 186 pages. I don't know how to read it. Could you kindly help
To read your GCMS notes, see the status on page 2. That is a snap shot your your application progress. Then go to the last 5-7 pages, that is where the notes are and what officer has entered. The notes go from latest to oldest.

Then you can see the activities in the middle, that will explain you the entire progress so far.

except in many cases the notes explicitly say 'applicant has submitted a self attested letter of experience' so we know what the issue is. once again nobody is providing incorrect information.
I don't want to argue with you. There are many people on the forum and each with an opinion. I am a professional, with over a decade of experience at the highest level. My job is not to argue with everyone. If someone asks me a questions on this thread, or any other, I respond. When I see anything that is incorrect, I point it out. That is where I leave it.

You are more than welcome to just disregard what I said, and keep beating the drums of what you think is right.

Best,

LF

Hi @legalfalcon,

First, I'd like to thank you for all your valuable input. It is appreciated and admired by all.

Is it possible that the background check for the PR application is shown as not started while it is actually in process.

After the first ghost update, I called CIC and the agent said the background check has just started after the criminality was cleared. After 1 month, I called CIC again and the agent said it was not started yet.

This contradiction in agent responses made me confused about the status of the BG check.

Thank you

Hi @legalfalcon,

First off...Thank you so much for the wonderful work that you do.

I wanted to get your opinion.
CEC Inland Cnadidate.
I got my AOR on the 11th of April.
MEP - 1st of May
IP2 - 1st of May
ADR for RCMP requested - 25th of July.
ADR for RCMP uploaded - 7th of August.

Ordered GCMS - Shows that eligibility recommended passed.
Criminality in progress - approved for my wife but RCMP requested for me.
Security - not started.

After that when I called CIC recently I found out that the last notes on my GCMS were put in on the 24th of July. After that no updates have happened.

It seems like no officer has worked on my file after that.

My ADR section in my online account shows that the documents you have provided has been uploaded.

Nothing else.

5 months in now.

Really frustrated as to what is going on. If you could please share some light on this situation then it would be great.

In the beginning my file was in Ottawa. Now they are saying that it is in Sydney NS.

If you are a FSW (outland) or PNP (outland) then the security willl begin only after eligibility. When IRCC refers to BGC, they include criminality and FOSS check in it, which happens during criminality.

The sequence is:

R10
Medicals
Criminality
Eligibility
Security

Your file is awaiting an officer review to conclude your eligibility. This is where most delays happen. You can request GCMS notes, they sometimes help, or wait it out.

Hi @legalfalcon yesterday I received a link below my Express entry profile in my CIC Account . The link is IFHP request. It says created date September 5th and 60 days left until submitting it. I click on it and it gives a questionnaire listing about ten options asking for my current status eg: refugee claimants, protected personal etc etc. I am currently on a closed WP LMIA exempted in Canada since early 2017. And I am no way remotely also related to the points mentioned in the question. So I click the option None of the above and the questionnaire ends saying Thank you . You are not eligible for this. But the link still remains on my login page and it says 60 days left to submit. What is this about ?? Should I ignore this ?

So that means my R10, medical and criminality are completed but eligibility and security are pending?

Wait for another 3 weeks before you request another set of GCMS notes. Always make sure you have enough room between two requests.

To be on the safer side, send a CSE informing IRCC of this. Most likely this is an error.
