Security check is what we all undergo as the last part of the Background Check.
Sometimes, if the applicant is from a certain country, or has work experience related to government, military, etc., or had travel history to high risk countries, the security check gets extended and deep and that is called Security Screening.
Naturally, SS takes more time and can take for up to a year.
Wonderful information my friend.

Mine was passed 9 months ☹
outland trend is different my friend. It depends upon Visa Office of your country. In inland trend, usually after 3-months of medicals you will get PPR. But this trend is now changed for Inland applicants. Most applicants not getting PPR even after 4-months.

Bye the way what is your Visa office(VO) my friend?
