Has any working professional with 7-8 years of work ex & an offer letter from Canadian University applied for the student visa recently? If yes, then it would be great to connect & exchange information.

I am having seven years work experience. Got offer letter from the college for two years post graduate diploma and one from the university for year post graduate certificate.

But I am confused where to deposit the fees. I like the college course but my mind says that chances of study permit is more in university.
What would you suggest??

Yes, generally speaking, it seems University applicants have more success for visa.

Dear,
Where have you applied??
and Thanks for the reply. It seems my mind is forcing me in the right direction because with long study gap, getting study permit is not an easy task.

Waterloo.

And as long as you justify your reasoning, it should be OK. SOP matters a lot in this case.

The nature of the work you have done in your employment matters, you should elaborate on that. Provide evidence in the form of employment letter which mentions the nature of your work (duties).

An individuals circumstances are inescapable. Just explain to the best of you ability - why you want this course, how does it improve your prospects, how it relates to your work and previous degree.

A VO will never cite your age as the singular factor in a refusal. It will probably be that you're not a bona fide student. So you just need to demonstrate, to the best of your ability, that you are a genuine student.

Masters in Systems Design Engineering. I don't have master's degree from before.

And I've only just applied.
Thanks for your guidance.
It means a strong S.O.P. is must to convince VO irrespective of college or university.

Actually, I already have master's degree. The courses for which I got offer letter are both post graduate programs. One is two years post graduate diploma in supply chain management from Langara college and other one is post graduate certificate in project management and professional communication.

I like the college course, like i said before but due to fear of study visa permit, i like to go for university course.

Please comments because tomorrow is the last date for me to submit the college fees.

Thanks in advance.

Is the post-graduate work permit that you're going for related to the work you've done in the past few years? If so, you need to elaborate on the nature of your work and explain how this program in Canada can help your prospects. In addition, you need a convincing reason why you need to study this program in Canada and not from your country of residence.

You should include a employment letter and salary slips to prove you have been employed.

Yes, my education was master in engineering but my job profile is Purchase and Development which is a part of supply chain management and the college course is diploma in Supply Chain Management and Logistics.

OK. Just explain how the new program will benefit you. Try to be as specific as possible. Do you intend to continue working where you are right now? If so, can you get a simple letter from your work-place that states that they give you a leave of absence?

Hi yes,

I have 8 years of experience and got offer letter from University and my visa is approved. I would suggest to go with the university as chances are more and make sure to mention letter of intention clearly.

It is very difficult to predict about the future that where I want to work. However, I am working in my organization from last more than 6 years and my relations are very smooth.

It may be possible, that management issue me a letter that they give me a leave of absence. I am not sure but I can try.
