Hello ,

I am seeking some advice how to proceed with my current ITA for express entry PR .
We are due end of july 2018 and received ITA also . Please share your suggestion on :

1. Is it better to complete Medical including X-ray and continue with PR . ( After confirming with doctor to go ahead with X-ray )
2. OR wait till delivery of the baby and then do the medical and apply for PR . ( Will have very tight timeline for getting birth certificate and Passport for baby)

Does any of the above has any repercussions on the PR process . This will really help in making the decision.

we are is same situation , expecting baby in Aug'18 and have ITA. My brother was in same boat 3 years back & they get X-ray done in 7th Month to proceed. (This was in Canada).

I am waiting to schedule my medicals and will take a call then n there.

This will help.

Basically except x ray do everything. Profile will be om hold till you submit x ray. It's just a small wait. Also you will .Need to include the new born.

Good luck and congratulations:)
Thanks ,I was wondering what if I do X-ray too as my spouse is in 8th month of pregnancy and include the new born once I have baby's passport and other docs . Will this cause delays too , like once we are close to get PR , we can then add the baby before we actually Land.

Confusing, but as my brother get X-ray done in Canada when they were expecting and in 7th month, i may opt to go with X-ray unless doctor give a strong reason to not to go.

so lets say you complete the X-ray too . Then process goes normal and in which step we add the baby in the application , any insight on that .

No answer as of now, if we get PR before baby is born will be a tough thing, else will can mention change in Family during the process.

I would suggest ask your doc regarding x ray and it's effects. If he okays it then go ahead. Not sure if adding the baby on the file will delay the proxess but logically you are adding one more dependent and they will ask for documents which I think you have it. They will also ask for medicals of the baby and then the processing time by CIC. So it may take some time.

Nothing to worry. If you get PPR mail before the birth of the baby, inform CIC about the expected baby and due date, CIC would then raise an ADR requesting baby's docs with deadline 30 days after due date.
Once you submit all required docs, verification of only the baby's docs will be done and then you would get a new PPR mail, then you can send passports including your newborn one's.

Thank you, This is really helpful.

You can search for X-ray during pregnancy. I will advise you not to do it since there is a small possibility of birth defects etc. Why risk this for your baby and wife for just a few months?

Alright guys , we met our doctor and she said its fine to do X-ray in "Third trimester" only . With condition its only ONE exposure and BELOW 5 rad(where rad is intensity of x-ray radiation ) .

PS: Its just my doctor's words and may not be applicable for all as it depends on case to case .

Yes you are right, my doc also told me same thing so I have done medical without x-ray
