Background check started 25 March 2018
My medical will be expired on 25 May
How long will background check take?

Hi All,

My spouse's application BG check changed to in-progress on 19th April and I got the e-mail for file transfer to NDVO later than this on 27th April. After this status in ecas changed to we started processing your application on 30th Apr (is this called AOR2 ?).

Can someone please give an idea of how much time it might take after this stage for getting visa ?

One consultant told me today that now as per new rules, it is necessary for my wife to have my name as her spouse in her passport.

Has anyone heard of this rule?
Is it really mandatory for her to have my name as spouse in her passport ?
