I really need help!!
I applied my parents can plus visit visa on 17th Jan 2018 and it's still in processing. I don't know what to do. I also did enquiry through email but I did not get any reply from them. My parents went to Canada 2-3 times earlier.
Please someone help me!!
Agreed. There's really nothing you can do but wait. It's up to CIC if they process your parents' application under CAN+ or the regular stream.
It's not unusual for processing to take a few months.

That he visited Canada twice in the last two years may not be a reason of concern especially if he did not apply to extend his stay.I was also wondering that it may be because my father worked in Police department but he got retired in 2011. Also he visited Canada twice in last two years. Can it be the reason? @Bryanna
@BryannaI have linked the applications. In my father's account they have mentioned that they are doing background check. And in my mothers account they have mentioned that no background check needed.
When my father came for the first time.. he overstayed for 10 days as he didn't calculated exact 6 months and booked return ticket over 10 days. And second time .. I applied for his extension. I have mentioned everything in forms clearly.
Background checks could take any length of time depending on a number of aspects. Although they have visited earlier, CAN+ won't be applied/hasn't been applied to process both their applications.I have linked the applications. How long did they stay for the second visit? When did they return home? When my father came for the first time.. he overstayed for 10 days as he didn't calculated exact 6 months and booked return ticket over 10 days. And second time .. Did you mean to say they returned last month after a stay of 6 months stay (on the original entry) + an extension = XX months??They returned after a month.
No no they returned in August 2017. They went to Canada in Jan 2017 and came back in August 2017 as I have got them one month extension.Their visa was valid till December 2017. But due to my wedding we all were in India in December 2017. So now as there visa was expired so I applied for their visa in Jan 2018.Did you mean to say they returned last month after a stay of 6 months stay (on the original entry) + an extension = XX months??
Anyways, if they have recently returned to India then in hindsight maybe they should have waited for some months before applying for new TRVs
