Mississauga Office or any IRCC call center cannot reply on a file that is outside Canada.
They can only reply to a file that is inside Canada.

To know status, ECAS, GCKey, Automated Telephone (same as GCKEY) are the only way.

If its taking longer than usual, then even a MP could get you the exact status.

Hai everyone,

I need some clarifications regarding the lastname. My husband who is a PR in Canada submitted the spouse application for me with my father's name as my surname. My old passport was expired and I got my new passport in my husband's name. He submitted his application on 2015. After a long time process, finally the NDVO has asked to submit the passport in March 2018. But the problem is that the last name in my application and passport is different. Will it be a problem? Is there any alternate solution for this? Please kindly let me know. This long distance is seriously making me frustrated. Please kindly suggest any ideas.

• does your new passport have the file number or old passport number on the last page?
• does the name on your old passport matches to the name on application?
• was your application made before you applied for new passport?

2. We started processing XXXX's application on September 18, 2017.
3. Medical results have been received.
4. We sent XXXX correspondence on September 28, 2017. If XXXX has not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please have XXXX do so as soon as possible.
