Hi,
I have following academic credentials

Diploma after 10th grade - 2003-2006 - Canadian Equ - Secondary school diploma and diploma (two years)
B tech 2006-2009 - Canadia Equivalency - Bachelor's Degree ( 4 years).

When filling the form i am confused that whether my diploma is equivalent to Secondary school diploma and diploma (two years) option in Express Entry Form or can i select Bachelor's Degree (3 years) or DIploma options which awards more points in profile?

Actually WES has credited me with Bachelor Degree ( 4 years) even though i attended 3 years only and in the remarks column they have mentioned that Mr Veneet was exempted from 1st year because of his previous study which was given Canadian Equivalency of Secondary school diploma and diploma (two years)

Now i want to know what option should i choose because simple "secondary school diploma" for my DIploma awards me total 428 points and when i selected "Bachelors Degree ( 3 years) or Diploma " my score jumped to 460!

I am very confused and i dont know what to do, this time i played safe and selected secondary school diploma equivalency and missed this DRAW while sitting on 428, i intend to be very cautious in my approach and i need your genuine suggestion in this regard.

Awaiting for your replies!!!!! God Bless ALL

Hi I have a diploma in banking & finance of a Recognized Sri Lankan Institute. Does that fall under 1 post secondary credential?
You won't know officially until you get it formally assessed for Canadian equivalency by one of the authorized assessing institutions. They will tell you where it falls.

Hi Guys,

I have a question regarding my WES report:
I am in process of my accountancy qualification and have received this as the equivalent from WES for it:-
Canadian Equivalency: Two years of undergraduate study
Remarks: The credential is not comparable to a completed Canadian education

I also have a Bachelors degree which was evaluated as a Bachelors degree by WES.
My question is when I enter the details of the accountancy qualification, in the drop down box where it asks what has ECA report stated as the canadian equivalency? Do I choose " none/high school" or do I choose " Two year program at a University, college, institute"?

I clearly understand this does not qualify as 2 degrees. My only query is what do I choose in the drop down box as I do not want to make a mistake in my application.

Please advise if anyone has a clear idea.
Many thanks,
Leah

Just above drop-down you will find help page on CIC, you should be able to find option you need to choose from drop down . Although I could not find this even on help page, is it "Two years of undergraduate study" exact wording?

I have a diploma(3 years)after 12th and then got admission directly to 2nd year of Bacholers degree(3 years)
So which option should i select from free ECA tool ?? Either bacholers degree which is giving me 120points or bacholers degree or diploma which is giving me 128points. I just dont want to make mistake which results into visa application rejection.

Do you have your ECA done? It will tell you exactly what you need to select.

Hi All,

Apologies to all in case if this query is already being discussed

I have a query regarding Educational Verification and points calculation.

I have completed my pre-degree from Calicut University in 2000 ( Nowadays, people have only 12th grade and no pre-degree ). Also, I have completed a bachelors degree ( 3 years ). Will I get points under the category "Two or more post-secondary program credentials AND at least one of these credentials was issued on completion of a post-secondary program of three years or longer"

Hi,
I did my WES Evaluation and my WES Canada evluation results are as follows:
  1. Pre-Degree (From India) is equivalent to Canadian Secondary School Diploma
  2. Bachelor's degree (From India) is equaivalent to Canadian Bachelors Degree 3 years
  3. Master's degree (From India) equivalent to Canadian Bachelors degree 4 years
  4. Master's degree (From USA) equivalent to Canadian Master's degree
  • What will be my CRS – A. Core / human capital factors (Without a spouse or common-law partner)?
  • What will be my CRS – C. Skill transferability factors (With good official language proficiency (Canadian Language Benchmark Level [CLB] 7 or higher) and a post-secondary degree)?
