ECAS is " In process " and the background check " in progress " too . my app received exact a month away after yours then my next expecting date would be a month from now :) .

There were some problems with the PCC. The inefficiency of Bangladeshi police and all the bureaucracy is beyond imagination. I will wait this week and if I don't get the PCC then I will request CIC to give me more time. I did contact the VFS though. They said if I can provide proof (basically the email) from Canadian High Commission in Singapore that they requested the documents, then VFS will send the PCC.

I can understand what you are going through, but how did you apply for PCC? I applied for mine online (http://pcc.police.gov.bd) and got it within 7 days without any hassle.

I have applied through the same way, but since my present address doesn't match with the ones in Passport or NID, they refused to do it from the local police station. Now I applying again through the police station near my old address.

Yah it can be problem when addresses are not updated on gov issued ids but if you are using a different present address then will it match with your spousal application present address?
