An update on the delayed release of IELTS results



As previously notified, results from the 6th January 2018 are undergoing further analysis. Please be assured IELTS is progressing through the analysis as a priority.



Assisting with your deadlines

IELTS recognises that you may have taken the test in support of an application for further study, migration, or professional recognition.



If you still require an official letter for recognising organisations explaining the delay in the release of results as part of IELTS quality and assurance procedures, please reply to this email and include the following details:



· Your first name and last name

· IELTS test centre location

· Name of chosen recognising organisation

· Mailing address of recognising organisation

· Application due date


Next update

At this time we cannot give you a definite date for the release of results as the analysis undertaken is an extensive process. The release of results will not be delayed for any longer than necessary but appropriate measures must be taken to protect the integrity of all IELTS results.



We will provide you with an update on progress of the analysis on or before Wednesday 31st January 2018.

How can they have the right do do such a thing while this is a well known organization which supposed to be reliable enough

I am not in a good mood at all
This affects my life
I am so nervous now

They told me the same thing at BC Chandigarh and New Delhi, but people are posting varied responses, nobody knows anything that is accurate and reliable.
All we can do is wait

Not only 6 Jan exam, if you explore internet you will find almost all exam dates, 40-50% people claiming they are receiving such emails , now the questions is where is the quality of IELTS if they can't restrict the quality before an exam or during exam what the hell they trying to prove after exams.

Another point is they are actually blackmailing by mentioning an agreement "'I understand that my results may not be issued 13 days after the test if IELTS deems it necessary to review any matter associated with my test'." this is ridiculous , it means if you added this whatever you want you can do there is no check and balance for candidates. How they suffering nobody cares

They don’t have any answers. They are even saying 31 jan date can be extended. There may be update on 31 about next date of results. Not sure though. All assumptions. Even reval results are delayed by 5-6 weeks additional. Shame on them and not giving accurate answers when we contact them.
