@Cynicalmonk, @Lakhanpal.saurabh, @pam13, @gurik - Post stamping, if someones gets married, then what is the process for the spouse to accompany the primary applicant. Will the person who is primary applicant show her as dependent. Also does she has to go through the same process of express entry?
Hello brother! One of my friend had gone thru this, so I can take you through the process. First of all the person has to inform CIC about the change in his marital status and ask them to add spouse in the application. They will ask the person to return the passport to the respective Visa Office, from where the stamping was done, for cancellation of the stamp. Thereafter, send all the documents for the spouse to CIC through e-mail and also raise a CSE. The documents include PCC, medical, marriage certificate, Passport Copy. You will notice that the status in the application section in CIC website will change again and they will start processing your application. Won't take much time tough. Once they review all the documents for the spouse they will ask for Passports of both the persons and do the stamping. It took a month and a half to do this approx. Let me know if there are any queries related to this.

Most welcome!! Yes, its much faster rather than going for sponsorship for the spouse which takes around a year for the process to complete. All the best!

Does emailing ottawa makes any sense if your file is processed in NDVo ?
Won't they reply that we have no info as it's being processed at ndvo
Keep Writing to NDVO as Ottawa is not processing your application. Send them reminder every week to expedite processing of your application.

Congratulations @drCAN! When are you planning to land in Canada?
I have asked my Organization for transfer, but chances are bleak. I will resign by March end and serve my 3 month Notice Period. Planning for moving in first week of July. But if my organization gives me transfer i can move from April onwards also.

One can add the spouse till he/she physically lands in Canada. (Post PPR as well as post CoPR)

1. Send an email to ndvo about change in marital status.
2. Marriage certificate, marriage photography, marriage bills, PPC of spouse, upfront Medical of spouse. Passport (must be valid for next six months, no need to add spouse name in passport), receipt of rprf after paying, digital photograph as per visa standard to be collected.
3. Wait for reply from ndvo, if they take too much time.. as the lame horse usually does. Go ahead and submit the above documents via CSE.
* Giving everything upfront will help faster processing.
4. COPR WILL HAVE TO BE SURRENDERED IF THIS IS BEING DONE AFTER COPR (STAMPING).
5. Will take 6 to 12 weeks .. a new ppr will come and both passport will get stamped.

* No, eligibility is not redone. No it doesn't have effect on your score. No it doesn't effect your RPR just delays it a bit.
