NOI isn't like ITA you receive from CIC, You won't accept/decline NOI.

NOI is like a message from Ontario, "Hey pedro, wanna apply for Ontario?" then they will leave at your decision.

However, the NOI which you will be receiving will have the validity of 6months. You can stay on EE pool as much you like but have to decide on OINP front within 6 month of receiving interest.

Dear @sundar17feb99

Does that mean, once I receive any NOI from Ontario, I can accept the invitation and in the meantime I can wait for the EE just to see what is there motive for a couple of months before I can decide to apply for OINP within the 6 months time validity that I ll receive from them on accepting their NOI? will there be any problem? & once I receive the NOI, do i also need them to be in open application accepting mode to submit my application? or I can submit it any any time?

thank you

Let's consider my case.

I create EE profile on June 15 and received NOI on the very next day.
Now I have a CRS of 406 and NOI from NOI in my hands.

In my case, I assumed CRS may come down to 400 considering their trend of 413's in May.
I was waiting for CRS to come down till July mid week, after which I decided to take PNP route.
I was arranging documents and was about to register for submission. Alas, devil played it's hand. Just when I was about to register I got the shattering news that OINP hold the intake of new application.
Here I missed my chance.

Then I played the waiting game until Nov2, when they re-opened the stream.
Remember, since I already have the NOI, it carried validity until dec16 (6month).
This time, i took the opportunity and submitted the application at the earliest possible time and received my nomination today.

What's the take away from my case?
Choosing PNP route is at your own risk. While you wait you have to keep in mind
  • Will my CRS score have any chance in receiving direct ITA?
  • When's the possible time for the stream to close?
  • How long can I play waiting game?
You need to have answers for those and play your cards right.

Hi,

My CRS is 445.

With increase in funds requirement in Jan2018, I am stuck in a peculiar situation. We are family of three and funds requirement has increased from $18825 to $19092. I have one six month old FD which I will be using for POF, amounting to 19215 (converted from Indian Rupee to Dollars). My worry is, if there fluctuations in currency, then I don't have any funds to show for the fluctuated amount which are six month end.

I have following options for which I need your opinion.

1) I have one running account which has $2000-$2200(converted from Indian Rupee to Dollars) every month but I can't show them as six month old funds
2) I have PPF account which is 6 years old and has approx $16000. I don't think it can be used.
3) I have 3 year old Employee provident fund having approx $6000. $3000 are my part of salary and rest are of my employer.

I want to know which of these I can use as POF or can I use gift deed for some amount from my father if its three month old as POF.

Also, can three month old funds but less than four months be used as POF.

Awaiting your enlightenment!

All liquid funds you have can be used as proof. The max they can do is ask you to show the source of these funds, and you will have to satisfy them that these funds are actually yours and not a loan from someone. That is all.

Also, all $6000 in your EPF are your money. $3000 is the employer's contribution to that account, but the money is yours. I am not sure about PPF, but I have heard a few experts in the field say that PPF account balances are accepted as proof of funds.

You're in the clear for the most part. No worries. Get ready with your documents, and Good Luck.

It is not. In their last update, they changed it to 45 days to apply. Which is manageable, because you shall have your IELTS, TEF and ECA ready and 45 should be enough to get birth certificates, passports (which you shall have ready already) and work experience letters.
You do not need medical or criminal checks.
Honestly 6 months approach only caused, that people were keeping their NOI and Ontario did not know who really wanted to apply and so others that would take it were not sent NOI.

Hey guys just wanted to share my optimism with the hopes that I can at least lighten the mood!

I too have been a little disappointed with the recent trend .......started the journey in 2016. First entered the pool at 395 sat for a year decided to take another go at IELTS to improve my scores. That attempt resulted in an overall CRS of 419 with the CRS dropping as low as 413 in 2017 I was pretty certain I'd have an ITA by now then OINP stopped issuing NOI. Now ain't that a bum.....I've been waiting patiently since September last year and with my IELTs at CLB 10 the only way to improve my position is to do a master's which is not the most feasible right now but for some reason there is an optimism I'm experiencing that defys the logics of my current situation especially since I loose an six points come the 19th.....but I'm faithful that all will be well!

For the new year I pray that those of us waiting will have the patience to endure this journey!

Hi All,
I have been part of this forum for a few weeks now and love the positivity spread by many here to keep the hopes alive. I have been waiting at 429 from September 2017 and my hopes of getting an ITA is coming down. I also read that many from the US are looking at Canadian opportunities as an impact of the H1B visa. Will that pose a threat to people already in the pool with low scores? I’m really confused now.
Should I wait for scores to come down or sit for the IELTS again?
Please guide me

I found this sensible advise from Kubeir Kamal in his FB group...hope this will lift your mood , nothing to worry about , just trust GOD .you are sitting with pretty good score you should get golden mail (ITA) by May 18 ...:)

"The effect of the proposed bill is already started. The number of serious enquires have gone up steeply. Even by low estimates of how many will actually go through the process I feel that this figure will form quite a big proportion of the pool.
However they are as good or as bad as the rest of the globe. Even they need to get ECA and do their IELTS and most may not be that young. The ground challenges are the same for everyone."
