Hi all. We're in a real dilemma. Any help will be appreciated. this is regarding the counting of my total work experience. Let me give an example. One of my appointment letter states the beginning of tenure as 2nd august and end date as 13th Dec. However, in the express entry work history tab there's no option of dates but only month and year. In such a situation where my actual exp is 4months 12 days, the system will take it as 5 months. This creates a considerable change in my total work exp. we are not entering false information however, the system is giving no option.
what to do in such a situation?
Thanks.
Your situation is very simple.
1. Calculate your actual CRS with only 2 years of work experience and ignore the system CRS generated by the system.
2. If you receive an ITA when the cut-off threshold is higher than your actual CRS, then accept the invitation and add an explanation letter. In this case, when the IRCC officer recalculates your actual CRS (which will be below the system CRS), it will still be higher than the cut-off threshold and the application will pass eligibility.
3. If you receive an ITA when the cut-off threshold is lower than your actual CRS, then decline this invitation and wait in the pool.

There is another option which is to remove some of your work experience that is higher than 2 year since 2 years + 11 months gives you the same points as 2 years.

On other thing to keep in mind if you are applying under FSW is that you have 67+ point in the six selection factors in the link below.
Good Luck!

Hi everyone,
Please I want to know if the reference letter should have IRCC address (should it be addressed to IRCC) secondly must it have a date?

Hello Guys,

My problem is related to Work Experience. Below is my spouse case :

If we take in terms of Days, then below is the details :
2nd Aug'11 to 14th Dec'13 - 865 Days or 28 Months & 13 Days
13th Oct'14 to 22nd May'15 - 221 Days or 7 Months & 9 Days
In Total it will be 1086 Days or 35 Months & 22 Days (3 years would term to 365*3= 1095 Days or 36 months).

So in such case, it will be short by 9 Days.

Now, if we fill the information in EE profile based on the months and year they provide, below will be the scenario :
Aug'11 to Dec'13 - 29 Months
Oct'14 to May'15 - 8 Months
In Total = 37 Months.

The difference points in both the cases will be 428 Points based on 2 years and 453 Points based on 3 years.

Please help me to determine which one is correct.

Also, if we consider it less than 3 years, the how we will make it in EE Profile. Because, you need to put it in the below way :

2nd Aug'11 = Aug'11 and 14th Dec'13 = Dec'13 (Here, we can't put it as Nov'13, since it will be misrepresentation).
13th Oct'14 = Oct'14 and 22nd May'15 = May'15 (Here, we can't put it as Sep'14 or Apr'15, since it will be misrepresentation).

Please share your views.

Ideally you should wait till the cut offs are near 430s to create ur ee profile...
then if still u get an ita for a draw with cut off above 428, decline it and wait till ur ita is legit at below/equal 428....
once u have ita, write an LoE to explain the issue ...even if the processing officer recalculate the score he will find that u have above or equal to the cut off and will not find it misrepresentation...
....

I have a friend that got his pr he started in Jan 16 2015. As of Dec 2016 the system updated his experience to 2 years. He got invited on Jan 12 which leaves 4 days to when he actually would have completed 2 years. There are other people with the same experience.

Hey I just answered someone about the same question.... Express entry counts in months and not dates.... it states that one should have worked for minimum of of 12 months period or one year. With your case 9 days is fine... I know of ppl that got their pr with the same experience that u have now I hope this helps.....
