Scotia Bank GIC - Issues in sending remittance

Now I can start filling the thesis like wire transfer form that ICICI bank has given me!

If you have a RM make him/her do it. Mine at HDFC did all the work. My friend used government bank, They lack customer service but
he saved 25 K in total (INR).

I'd advise fellow ones to go with ICICI GIC program. Scotia seems too slow and when i funded my ICICI GIC account, the wire transferred in a single day and, same day they issued the Certificate. My 2 cents..

Agreed! plus you save 50$ on the processing fee.

But for people like me who are going to Montreal, ICICI is not an option since it does not have a branch there and you need to visit a branch once to complete your GIC account opening

can i use the icici net banking option to tranfer funds to scotia gic program?? i think there is no icicic bank branch in kingston where im goin . (the payee add option is a drag .. transit no n i cannot use my Indian address what to do??)

Also, i have applied for student loan and the bank will be remitting the 10,200 CAD amount from the sanctioned loan.
Will i be issued the gic certificate ?
Please reply asap...

It is urgent.

Sending money from student loan is fine.All you have to care about is that you have to send it from your personal account in India only.Even i have done wire to scotia bank yesterday and i am waiting for the reply.

I provided to my bank like this : Transit Code: 35972-002. Not sure which one is bank or transit code but it went through allright this way.
As BNS didn't provide -002 anywhere in that letter I had to dig out online and also sent BNS an email for which no reply came through.

So your bank should be good to go through with this information. Cheers.
