we been hoping for a long time for things to happening, but nothing positive is coming.
dont know what the NDVO is doing!!!!
Still the BGC also didn't start let alone DM or PPR.

Cic is asking for baptism certicate but we dont hav baptism certificate in sikhs. Does anyone has ny info on it? Wat else can i provide them instead?

Welcome to the Group! Your file will be assessed for completion of all required documents in Mississauga; if there's anything missing e.g. signature on a form; your whole file will be returned. If your file is complete; you will get AOR1 (Acknowledgment of Receipt); indicating your file has been accepted for processing; this is taking about 4-6 weeks. Next, you will receive a email from IRCC asking you to link your online account on GCKEY, here you will find a request to upload your Applicant's Schedule A and PCC; the request letter and upload button does not always show up on GCKEY; so you might have to contact IRCC via call centre or webform to let them know so they can either activate it for you or tell you another method of sending this information.

Next, you will receive your SA (Sponsor Approval) email; Lastly, Mississauga might issue the medical request or New Delhi might; for many of the 2017 Applicants; we got our medical request from Mississauga from March and onward; not sure if Mississauga is still sending the medical request. Overall, your file will spend about 1-2 months at Mississauga. Once Mississauga receives all required documents and the requested information; your file will be transferred to New Delhi.

Currently, it is taking about anywhere from 2-7 months to get DM (Decision Made) and PPR (Passport Request) from New Delhi. - This is where it becomes completely silent for months and months.

New Delhi is where your relationship will be assessed and Applicant's PR portion will be assessed; if they have any doubts, they will ask for additional documents (e.g. more pictures) or might put you in Interview Queue.

oh my goodness! Thank you so so so much for that! Sounds like a lot of waiting and hoping. I just have my fingers crossed that we don't have any red flags or messed up anything. We just didn't do the traditional Hindu wedding. We did a marriage in Canada with my mom and step dad then a celebration in India with close family and friends. But I have heard that if its not the traditional Hindu wedding that they set off red flags for that.. So I guess we will see!

And one question, go fills out the schedule a form? It states that a spouse can fill it out but would that be me since I am the sponsor?

Im also sponsoring my husband from Afghanistan but we r july 2016 applicant. His BGC has been in process since February 2017. I emailed them they replied and said his bgc is still in process and next day he received another email to send PC from Turkey. he is living in turkey since 2008. Idk why it takes so long for afghan citizens bgc. ughhh its sooo annoying

really , that's 9 months so far and its still going on now right? I think in ur case maybe its because he lived in another country but my husband has always been in Afghanistan, I'm not sure why its taking so long apparently men's bgc especially from countries like Afghanistan take a long time, but I've also heard from friends/relatives that their husbands bgc only took a couple months so I'm not sure why there's such a difference.

1. Primary Applicant status is in process. Is that means file is in local visa office? M asking because I have not received aor2 and all pcc, medical, bgc form are submitted.

2. I can’t inquire about my file, my representative can. My question is can I request for GCM notes? Or only representative can do it????

1. If its in process then it should be at NDVO but to make sure you can call cic and ask where your file is.

2. Yes you can order notes yourself.
But why you can't enquire about your file?

It seems either they are not working on anyone's file or they are clearing up 2016 leftover. Personally, I think it would be miracle if there is any movement for remaining 2017 files by the end of this year.
