@legalfalcon
I need to ask a couple of things but first let me tell you my status:
I received ITA on 23rd Aug, 2017 and AOR 5th Oct, 2017.
Now I am planning to get married in Feb, 2018 and won't be doing my landing before that in any case. Can you kindly tell what options will be available for me if my application is still in process at that time and also if I have received ppr before marriage? Please note that my spouse will most probably be accompanying me. Also how my situation will change if she won't accompany me now and I sponsor her after I have got my PR status?

You can add a family member to your application before you land even when the visa and CoPR is issued. If you add a family member after after ITA, their PCC, Medicals and security is done and it does not impact the eligibility. I.e. the ECA and IELTS is not required for such members.

To read more details see - https://www.getgcms.com/blog/add-family-member-express-entry-application/

If you sponsor your spouse later, i.e. after you become a PR, you will have wait for almost a year or more and before you can sponsor you will also have to show that you can financially maintain a new member by getting a job in Canada.

@legalfalcon
dear sir,
Good day,
I am aor 4th march fswo
My file went to ip2 on 29th september.
I emailed my vo asking about the status of my application. Today they replied that "additional background checks were required for your file and they are ongoing" can u plz explain this to me if this necessarily mean security screening? Or this could be a general answer to my question?
I havnt ordered notes yet.

Yours answer would be highly appreciated as i am really worried for my file to go to SS
This can mean just security. To know whether your file is in SS, you will need GCMS notes. Without GCMS you cannot ascertain where your file is.

Hello Friends,
Can anybody tell me here what is the meaning for “waiting for officer’s review ??” Because my file gets stuck since last 6 months for officer’s review. Can anybody tell me how this things work and how much time does it take ??? My AOR is FEB 01 2017.

Need help !!!
All applications as per Immigration law go through the following:

R10 (Completeness)
Eligibility
Criminality
Security
Medicals

Read more of them here - https://www.getgcms.com/blog/express-entry-application-processed/

To track what is going on with your application consider getting GCMS notes.

When you get your medical done, you will be given a medical sheet and ask a few questions which will have a questions about TB. Then the doctor will have to follow the protocol as per IRCC which is here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/medic/physicians/documents/PDF/english.pdf

So you need to talk to the physician and see what he advises.
Thank you for your kind reply
I have one more question my medication was over in 2009 and now I don't have any documents regarding this like doctor's prescription or old radiographs is there any problem comes in medical???

Have you already received a nomination from NS?

You can change your NOC after receiving ITA. No issues with it. Just make sure that the NOC you are claiming matches your NOC on the nomination certificate and also the job reference letter.
Thank you sir for the reply!
I have not received nomination yet, i have just received an application number and im in queue for processing. So i was wondering if i can change the NOC code now to match with the NOC i have applied. My primary NOC in EE profile is different than the one i applied in NSNP but my job roles match.
Pls clarify sir.

If your mother is no longer a joint account holder, you do not need any affidavit.
Thanks friend.

I wanna transfer the money in my FD from the current bank to another bank. If I do this, what types of documents that I need to give to prove that the deposit was held with another bank for more than 6 months.
Is it sufficient to just state it in the LOE? How about my renewal advices from the Bank which I received?

On some occasions the applications can be transferred to the LVO as the LVO has local knowledge. The trends on how applications are processed has changed and LVO no longer does what it used to. You can read my latest thread on this issue:

Hi Legalfalcon,

I applied under Express Entry FSW and received my AOR in 23 May and my medical has not passed yet.

I ordered a GCMS notes at the end of September and it does not show anything specific. According to the note, eligibility, criminality, security or medical is not started yet.

Could you please let me know if I can do anything to follow up?

Cheers

The NA 2 and IP etc. are of no significance. The stages of an application are:
R10 (Completeness check)
Criminality
Medicals
Eligibility - The most important
Security

If you have crossed eligibility, you are on a solid track. However, see your notes and find if your A11.2 is recommended passed or passed. Because the eligibility takes place in two stages. First a case analyst will review your documents and make a recommendation. This can be recommended passed, review required etc. Then an IRCC officer will review it and this is when your eligibility is finally passed.

If your A11.2 is passed by the officer / agent, then you are on a good timeline and there is nothing to worry about.

You can read more on the stages here - https://www.getgcms.com/blog/express-entry-application-processed/

You do not need any old medical history. When you go for your medicals and your panel physician will conduct additional tests as per what is prescribed by IRCC. The most conclusive test is the chest x-ray for any active TB. For latent TB he may conduct a skin test or a blood test. But, there is nothing to worry about. I am writing a detailed blog post on medicals which will be up in a few hours at https://www.getgcms.com/blog/

feel free to check in a few hours.
