Hi. May I ask what are the consequences if I'm pregnant and my father included me in his PR application. My family members are done with their medical exam except for me because I can't proceed with the x-ray. Would their application can be affected?

Yes, the application will be put on hold until all the applicants (including dependents) can complete the medical exam. Without the X-ray, the medical exam cannot be completed.

From what you posted, I understand that you are a dependent of your parents and your father is the principal applicant. Are you in a common law relationship or married? Have you lived with the father of your child for more than 1 year? If so, you could be excluded from the family class. A dependent of the principal applicant is still eligible if he/she has a child of their own, but not if they are married or in a common law relationship.

I don't want to scare you, but if you will be excluded from the family class and are found inadmissible, then all your family members included in the application will also be found inadmissible to Canada.

This is not entirely correct. If the OP is found inadmissable because she is in a common law relationship/married then it COULD potentially put the rest of the families application at risk if they KNEW this and still tried to apply anyway. If she is just now reaching a common law/married status with her babies father, then her father should inform CIC immediately about the change and OP will be removed from application but the remaining members will be processed.

I'm not yet married nor in a common law relationship, We are not also living together because I'm currently living with my family. May I know what will be the consequences of this case?

Your medical can't be completed without the x-ray. And your family's PR application can't be approved until you complete the medical. So your family's entire application is going to be put on hold until you have the baby. Once you have the baby and can complete the medical (take the x-ray), CIC will continue processing the application.

Your baby will also have to be added to the application.

So there are certainly going to be delays to your family's application.

Thanks SCYLLA for the respond. What if the medical examination will expire this July 28 and my due date is on Aug. 20, will it be okay? The medical request should be done within 60 days , will the CIC still consider my medical results?

Inform CIC immediately that you won't be able to complete the medical within the required time frame. If you don't tell them you might risk the entire application

Go do the medical now before the request expires. The doctor will do everything but the X-ray, give you a deferral form to have the X-ray done after the birth and inform CIC of your pregnancy.

Agreed. Do as suggested above.

Hi I am in the same situation..

Me and my wife did our medical except my wife cannot take X-RAY due to her pregnancy. So I believe CIC on hold our application and Medical will be clear once my wife did chest x-ray after deliver baby.

But I did my medical on 08-Oct-2014, after deliver around May, 2015..include new born baby...my wife clear her x-ray..should be around October and I understand that my medical will be expire after 1 year. So i need to do medical again...pls let me share your ideas.

Hi

It's possible you may have to do it again or CIC may extend your medical for another year. You will have to wait and see what they decide to do.

Hi canuck_in_uk,

Thanks for your idea. Let wait and see how CIC will consider my case. Anyway thanks for your opinion.

Regards,
Myat
