My dependent submitted their passport while am waiting to do that later as I am going on a trip so my Q is should I expect COPR? Or is it unlikely until I submit my passport as well?

Also they usually give you a year to land to my understanding until medical expires or passport expires whichever comes first

What if you renew medicals would you still be able to delay landing or is it not a good idea?

Have you notified IRCC that you will be submitting your PP later? If you have, your dependent will be issued the CoPR, however, the PA has to land along with or before the dependents can land.

The visa is usually issued for 6 months. It will expire before if your medicals or PP expires before.

My case details are:
AOR Jan-13
Ontario PNP
Indian, applied from USA

1st GCMS notes generated on 8/31 showed Eligibility & Criminality passed on 6/19, Medical passed on 3/15, Security Screening started on 7/17 with 3 different activities.

2nd GCMS notes generated on 9/21 showed no change.

Today I received this reply from CSIS to my enquiry - "CSIS received a security screening request from IRCC on July-18-2017 concerning your permanent resident applications. The security screening was completed and advise was sent on September-22-2017. As CSIS has now concluded it's involvement in these requests, IRCC or CBSA would be in a better position to provide a status update on your applications. At this time, I can only suggest that you redirect your request to them."

What do you think about the status of our file at this time?
Should I be enquiring with CBSA or IRCC?

Your file is then stuck with CBSA, who has the mandate, as issued by IRCC to investigate and do SS. You can raise an ATIP request with CBSA and see how that goes. But they take almost 3 months to answer.

Usually there are 4 SS activities before the file is approved. And if you already have 3, you can just wait it out.

Thank you. Regarding my proof of funds:
My iTA will be expiring on 22Nov under FSW. My father provide me $4000 in april and $4700 in june which is justified with a gift deed. Letter that i have arranged from my bank in Canada while I am in Pakistan right now, it states current balance till 29Sept instead of 6months average balance. So I am providing past 6 month statements i.e. april to september. According to CIC guidelines, there is a need to mention six months average balance on the bank letter. As we have to justify every deposit in past 6 months. But if i wait till 1st nov then that $4000 entry in april need not be justified by a gift deed. Is that correct? I will provide bank statement from may to october then.
I assume that this 6 month balance and bank letter issue date are inter related. So in case if the letter issued on 29 September that $4000 entry should not be skipped from the record. But if i count 6 months from the date of application submission then we can skip that entry from gift deed by waiting till 1st Nov.

Whether 6 months start from date of application or from the date of bank letter?

What would be the safest and best option?

IRCC asks for 6 months average balance to make sure that the fund you have were not borrowed. However, if you are taking a gift deed, you DO NOT need to meet the 6 months average balance.

My AOR is june 10 and I have been on IP1 since july 7. I got my gcms note on september 28 and i noticed my criminality check hadn't been done. Am in the London VO whatsapp chat group and everyone there is telling me that is really weird and that my criminality should have been done in CIO. Every other person in my chat group who posted snippets of the gcms note showed that their criminality was done at CIO yet mine is not the case. Most people in my AOR are either in NA or IP2 status and yet am still in IP1. It really baffles me. My due date was October 6 and till today i haven't seen any updates.

Just wanted to find out if anyone is in a similar place as me or if anyone has had their they criminality done in their VO rather than CIO or better yet just help make sense of my situation. Thanks

Criminality is done based on the PCC, which varies widely. If you are from a country where PCC is not issued and will be issued later, or you are in Canada, the criminality will do completed later. So no need to worry.

Thanks you sir, one more question.

Need your help for this issue. I submitted my profile and I just checked in one ref letter my manager has done typing error and he wrote my name as Vyom Verma(65029),where 65029 was my employee id from previous organisation and for that organisation also I have submiited ref letter on companies letter head. And letter is not dated.There is only notarization date on the letter. What should I do in this case. Will this lead to rejection or misinterpretation?

I don't quite understand your question. Can you please elaborate and explain what the issue is.

Need guidance on below situation.

1. Received request letter for passport stamping on 4-10-2017.
2.Passport yet to be submitted.
3.Baby due on : 13th March 2018
4.Medical valid till: 31st March 2018.
5.Expecting copr and visa with expiry :31st March 2018

Want to add baby to pr application.Cannot travel till delivery due to complications.
Informed CIC by CSE and NDVO by email.

Please guide
1.will it be possible to some extension on copr/visa as getting documents ready in 15 days and traveling post delivery doesn't seem to be feasible?
yes, you can request for an extension.

2.i am OK to redo medical for whole family and want to travel with spouse and baby.
Before you redo your medicals make sure you inform IRCC and ask them if they will permit.

a candidate got rejected because of provincial nomination expiration.

His details:
OINP Nomination received Apr 6
AOR July 8
Rejected on October 16

Therefore, could you please clarify if we need to ask for extensions for nominations ? Does not it get freezed after AOR?
Should I take some measure?

OINP nomination received May 18
AOR August 23
OINP Expiration date November 14

The nomination has to be valid on the day when you file your eAPR. Someone referred this case to me and the cause of rejection was something else.

I have a question and would appreciate if you can help me out.

I got my passport request on 13th Oct and my passport office is Sydney . My wife is pregnant and due in april 2018 .Should i inform CIC about this ? or continue submitting my passport for stamping .I have to travel before 2nd March 2018 . i will travel before that to get my PR card and all but probably would like to have my baby in sydney only as there is a 3 month wait for medical card to be activated in Ontario ... can you please share your thoughts on this situation ?

You can inform IRCC and they will give you the extension if you want to add the baby to the file. You will only be able to add the baby to the file after the baby is born and you will need the baby's PP and medicals.

You can be asked by the hospital if any of your tests come abnormal. Then they have to follow the protocol to confirm that there is nothing wrong. Since I am not aware what additional tests you are getting or what the issues is, I can't more.

Hello I have received AOR on 29th Sept. But yesterday I got an email to submit my marriage certificate which I have already submitted. Why could they ask for marriage certificate again? Is there anything wrong?

This happens when the transmission is not clear or the scan was not clear. So just go ahead and send it again and make sure that it is clear.

No need to worry yet. It takes 6 months for an average to process the application and the 6 months clock starts when your R10 is passed.

The aor date of my Express Entry application was 15 May this year, Federal Skilled Worker Outland stream, then I got stuck since 25 July. I ordered GCMS notes and got it last Tuesday, it indicated that the last update took place on 25 July with a label of SECURITY, NOT SECURITY SCREENING, and the status is NOT STARTED. My Medical, Eligibility and Criminality all indicated as Passed on page 2 of the GCMS notes.

I'm wondering if there is a distinction between Security and Security Screening? Is it possible to get my PPR in next 4 weeks or so since it's really getting close to the 6-month timeline? The wait is just agonizing.

Yes, there is a difference between security and security screening. Your AoR is May 15, you are well within the 6 months processing time. So no need to worry. When you order your next set of GCMS you will see progress.

Also, if on your GCMS notes on page 2 where you see the status, your security is blanked and you see s15/16 on the top right corner, then your security is underway.

How are you today? I have been at NA2 since Aug 22, my AOR is Aug 2. Can one submit a passport with less than 6 months validity for COPR when PPR comes?
(I hope an pray it does not come to this because my passport has 5 months and 18 days validity as of this moment).

No, you r PP should be valid for at least 6 months, so go ahead and get your PP renewed and when you get the new PP, send a scan via CSE.
