dear @legalfalcon

I want to know if applying for a study permit affects in some way my permanent residence application

My PR application was deemed complete (R10) on june 26th. Elegibility also passed. Security in progress (not SS but slow since july27)
I'm worried since I need to fly on feb10 at most

Hello Legalfalcon

I have few questions w.r.t. the Work History.
I have close to 4 years of experience and held 3 different designations, but all performing the same duties

Developer I -
Developer II -
Developer III -

1. Should I mention all designations as 3 rows in my Work History on my EE profile?
2. Do I need to mention the the roles and responsibilities separately against each designation, even though they all match against the same NOC ? Currently I have prepared one experience letter showing CIC requested details like , salary, Work hours, start and end dates, 3 designations held etc, but have a single section for Roles and Responsibilities.

3. For my spouse, we are not claiming any points for Foreign work history. So I removed them from Dependant Work History section. How do I add them to personal history , does this option available only after receiving ITA ?

Thanks.

Hello Legalfalcon,

I have submitted EE application and passed Medical exam checking. Now i am into Eligibility Checks. Meantime, one of my Fixed Deposit Account is matured which i have submitted as proof of Fund. I have renewed it(AOR 9th Sep, FD Expired on 27th Sep, Renewed on 27th Sep.). Do i need to raise a case and inform about it to IRCC else they will think my fund details are expired/or not as per requirement.

What should I do? Please help.

Yes, you can and in LoE just show where it was transferred from so that you meet the 6 months average balance.

Thank you friend.

Another 2 questions. sorry for bothering you.

1. The previous boss from my previous employer is currently working under me. HR dept of previous employer will not issue a reference letter since my boss is not there any more. Can I get a reference letter done and get it notarized with my boss's resignation letter? What other docs required?
2. My current immediate boss was my super boss in the previous employer. Can I do the same as above to get the reference letter? Can I get the reference letter for the current place like this as well, since I dont think a letterhead will be provided and no visiting card too?

What can I do about the above concerns?

Will get back to you this weekend.

Hi @legalfalcon

You don't have to do either.

Showing funds held in joint accounts and spouse’s accounts
If an applicant’s spouse is accompanying, the applicant can show the funds held together in a joint account to meet the PoF requirement. However, to be able to show the funds for meeting the PoF requirement, held in an account under the spouse’s name only, the applicant must prove that they have access to the funds. This can me done by the spouse executing an affidavit affirming that the funds held in the spouse’s account can be used by the applicant for the purpose of meeting the PoF requirements.

Similarly, if an applicant has a joint account with their parent, then the parent will have to execute an affidavit affirming that the funds held in the joint account can be used by the applicant for the purpose of meeting the PoF requirements.

See https://www.getgcms.com/blog/proof-funds-requirement-express-entry/

Thank you very much legalfalcon for the reply.

So Sir, we will get mine and his account statement for 6 months and the affidavit. Then can we assume we have completed the POF section. Or should we put an LOE too.

Thank you in advance..

Hi @legalfalcon

I maintain my salary account and the salary deposit on 1st Oct completed my PoF level to 12,700 CAD. I've started doing savings in my account from my salary since May-June. My bank doesn't provide letter with average 6 months balance so I'll have to submit 6 months statements. So

1. Is it fine that my PoF is not 6 months old and completed only 1 week ago ??

2. Although the saving is done from my salaries only (about half salary each month and full salary on 1st Oct), I do have few deposits in my account. Will these deposits affect my application ??? Some (biggest) of the deposit examples are below:

May: 2700$ Deposit. I withdrew 1250+1950 few days ago to use but didn't use. So I deposited it back because I didn't want to carry it around with me. Withdrew 1250$ the next day to use.

June: Deposit of 1470$. I withdrew 735+735 the same day earlier to use but didn't use so I deposited back.

July: a) Deposit of 880$. My roommate gave it to me so I paid his half of rent plus mine the next day.

July: b) I lent 2400$ to a friend and he did ATM transfer back to me 2710$ in my account. ATM transfer doesn't has his account number. Extra 310$ is his IELTS fee which I helped him pay.

August: Deposit of 1760$ which my roommate paid full rent and I paid full rent the next month.

Thanks legalfalcon,

Yesterday, I applied online for applications, as under:
- For Me: LMIA Excepted Work Permit (for one-year, as per written in Job Offer, and you also certified about same, now)
- For Spouse: Open Work Permit
- For Baby: Visitors Visa

After successful submission and payments, sooner after I received Biometrics Insruction Letter (BIL) for my Spouse. But, till now, I haven't received Biometric letters for me. It's written "you don't need biometrics, in case needed, we will tell you". I belong to a country, where biometrics is mandatory.

Is it normal to not receive letter sooner after submission? I am a bit worried. Would there be any issue in my application or it might delay the process. I contacted VAC they told me they need biometric letter to perform our biometrics. Normally how long CIC takes to send BIL?

Kindly share your experience, and opinions! I hope that's not a problem in my application.

Best Regards,

Just give it a few days and you will have it. If not, then you can raise a CSE.

Study permit does not affect your PR application, both of them are evaluated and processed differently.

Dear Legalfalcon,

Got PPR today! I have a question regarding the Appendix B and PPR Photo.

Do I need to fill Appendix B column for spouse and child if they are non accompanying?

Do I need to have studio seal and applicant name and DoB on the back of 2 photos or only 1?

Congratulations!!

The photograph is only required for the applicants and dependents who have been approved to land in Canada, non accompanying dependents are not required to submit the pictures.

You can either just have one entry or three, it does not matter.

If the roles and responsibilities overlap, which they do, you can just list them together, for all three designations. If you make three row entries, then you will be asked for three work experience letter and you can upload the same letter in all three.

3. For my spouse, we are not claiming any points for Foreign work history. So I removed them from Dependant Work History section. How do I add them to personal history , does this option available only after receiving ITA ?
To remove the work history, you simply remove the work history, and answer no, and in personal history mention it. You can change it post ITA. not an issue.

Thanks.

No need for a CSE or to inform IRCC.

Thanks :) just an hour ago i received that. Tomorrow going to VAC for biometrics.
What's next? When and where we need to submit passports for visa stamps? How long would they keep our passports? As we are planning to visit our home country in 1st week of december, then in january will fly from home country directly.

You don't need the resignation letter. You can get the reference letter on plain paper and get it notarized. To further strengthen your case enclose your joining, promotion letters etc. Also, you can include your pay slips, IT returns.

2. My current immediate boss was my super boss in the previous employer. Can I do the same as above to get the reference letter? Can I get the reference letter for the current place like this as well, since I dont think a letterhead will be provided and no visiting card too?
YEs.

What can I do about the above concerns?
