Hmm quite confusing!!!! Why don't u consult with a immigration lawyer once? They deal with such cases so will give u better answer.
You are not wrong. This request is a new one from the VO itself. That's a request for additional docs. And the statement for translation is in there and that's what threw me off a bit, whether to get it done or not. Our local VO is in Pretoria and my wife lives in Mauritius. Creole is not spoken in South Africa and hence makes the decision on whether to translate a slightly tricky one. My first thought is not to translate it since our application was not returned the first time I sent the convo without any translation. Just do not want to give them the chance to reject it. Still deciding on what to do moving forward.

Yeah confusing for sure. I read a few threads whereby some people did and some didn't. I believe we i will be moving ahead with translating the conversations and provide it to them. A thread recommended a good service website as well which is based in Toronto.

Any idea how long will it take to update gckey after you uploaded the request document? Its been a week since we paid RPRF .

Hi Oulrish , I suggest to translate your conversations. We translated all of our conversations before eventhough they didn't asked for. It will not gonna hurt you if you will :) you just want to make sure you will satisfy your VO this time.

No idea really. I will not know until I actually do provide them with the documents. Yeah they are looking for conversation that on ongoing currently when I left the country. So I will get those translated to be on the safe side. Thank you Marrianne.

Personally i would wait till they ask for such translations. But that's me only bit lazy and cheap when it comes to these things :). Ours were did not translate and i guess they accepted it and nor was it more than what they had asked for (pictures we sent i think 5 or 10 extra only from the required one). it all worked out for us thank god for that, but each case is different.

This time it's different from the first time we sent our applications. Everything I sent the first time was reviewed and accepted by Mississauga.

This time around it's the VO that's requesting additional documents showing our ongoing conversations since I left the country. And in the email it states '
All documents submitted to our office in a language other than French or English must be accompanied by an official translation by a Sworn Translator in English or French.'

Yes we had to translate my spouses birth certificate and bunch of invitation cards we sent for weeding, but did not do so for the chats etc. i do not know if they need those translated since that stuff i think gets checked locally at your country and they should know the language used in chat i am guessing ?

My VO is in Pretoria, South Africa. I live in Canada but come from Mauritius. Unfortunately no, they won't know the language we speak back home. I didn't translate neither fort time around but since we're so clean de to the end I do t want to jeopardize anything.
