I second your last point strongly. This is a very important thinng to be kept in mind. First few sections in reading are very simple and easy, one can score almost full marks in them and can complete it very fast.

But to attempt questions 28-40, applicant should save atleast 30-35 minutes. This passage is very long, and might become complex if not read with sufficient time and full attention. If we have time in hand, this passage becomes easy like others. So in my view this is the most important tip when it comes to reading. Good luck!

The main tip for the reading section (all parts): don't even try to read everything! Learn how to scan passages and how to extract information with paraphrasing. If one tries to read everything they are doomed to failure.

Agreed. Your first pass through the passage should be a quick scan to get an idea of what each paragraph and the passage as a whole are about at a very general and high level. Your goal is to be able to identify as quickly as possible where in the passage to look for the information you're being asked in the questions and then read the relevant section closely only when you're looking for the answer to a question. The earlier questions and passages are indeed easier, and you need to work swiftly while not being careless. You will need to take your time on those later questions (28-40).

I received the certificate of nomination from BC PNP and I found an error in that certificate, the date of issue and date of expiry of that certificate is same. I have already received 600 ponits in MYCIC account
I have tried to email BC PNP couple of time and its been over 16 business days and I haven't got any response back
I am wondering what are the next steps that needs to be taken?

Hi All,

Need your suggestions/ guidance. I have been nominated by Ontario last week and my score is now 1006. I hope there will be a draw this Wednesday, 06/09/2017. Can you please suggest as to when should I book for my medicals or will I get a notification from CIC? My documents are ready as for PNP I had to use them. Now only pending docs are PCC and Medicals, could someone also let me know if I had to take/ download any kind of medical form/ s to the centre? Lastly is there an IME number that I had to provide to the physician?

Looking forward for help...
whats your NOC?

I can tell you one thing, by the time you are discussing TEF difficulty and not believing yourself others already started to learn it. You just lost your precious day!
I tell everyone here, go for it, you can do it it may take sometime to learn but you're doing it for your future and dream! There is a thread where you can ask some advice. Hope gave you a good advice for the 1st step. :)

PS: Remember this, you can claim 20 or 24 points as a 2nd language ability and 30 bonus points for CLB7 in all 4 sections of TEF (I'm telling this coz I know you all here rocked the IELTS, for bonus part you need just CLB6 In IELTS) ;):cool:
Thanks..

I also have my birthday next month, will my points also be reduced, I will be turning 27 years old this year!
Please reply, thanks in advance!

As this is the most popular thread at this time I was hoping someone could help answer my two other questions.

Can I move to canada on a temp visa or something and keep working for my South African based company?
(UK passport holder)

AND

My boss is buying a Quebec based software development company and has offered for me to maybe move to that company. Would this make me ineligible for Express Entry?

Yes. With birthday passing (ageing), you will loose 5 points on the CRS table. You can check the CRS criteria, that's how it is , the younger - the better for them for economic immigration.

Don't Worry mate,

Grab a beer and chill. These are the situations which is entirely not in our hands, Concentrate on the things you can improve like education, French, Ielts score, etc.... There are chances that you can increase your score by working a little hard. By the time you are not doing it, Remember someone is working hard to stay ahead.

I am also at 420 and planing to pursue a part-time higher education course which will give me some extra points to better the chances.

This is RAY OF HOPE, Hope for the best, Keep doing what you are doing just stay away from immigration news for some time and you will feel better.

stay blessed.

My friend confirmed her name is Christy and iamxty might also be her username as this is also her Twitter handle. My friend said she is in the ICU now. I am praying for her fast recovery.
That's very sad indeed, but by God's grace she will be healed. That is our prayer.
