Thanks so much for this! I think I am going to start gathering my documents too.

I had asked a question before to you, and maybe you missed it, or perhaps I missed your answer.:) Anyway, here it is again. So I received an NOI from Ontario on 11 July 2017. I registered on 13 July 2017. I started filling it up but didn't finish. Then they stopped accepting applications, and I suppose my registration has expired by now. I have read from your posts that if Ontario reopens within 6 months of the receipt of the NOI, I should be able to register once again. But then you mentioned you didn't register because you didn't want the 14 days to lapse before you got all your documents. Is there any harm in letting it lapse?

I kind of remember this discussion, not sure if it was with you or others. I obviously do not have first hand experience with registering, letting the 14 days elapse, and registering again, but I have read of people who have done this, as in they said they were able to re-register after their initial registration was cancelled after the 14 days had elapsed. Whether they went on to get nominated successfully, I do not know. But I had heard of this somewhat recently. I also know that many people were having a lot of system issues for the past month or so, and I also wanted to hold back on registering because people seemed really frustrated and were freaking out over their documents disappearing (as well as being unable to log in and fearing they would miss the 14 day deadline). I also wanted to avoid the system issues and figured that Tuesday would be a lighter traffic day, given that people tended to have the most issues on weekends and also Mondays when everyone was still trying to do stuff after being frustrated on the weekend. Little did I know that Tuesday July 25 would be the day registration closed!

Thank you for the reply my friend, as you mentioned 4011 duties are matching my duties but the reference letter i got from my college letter head will have my college name on it like xyz college of pharmaceuticals, Affiliated to Osmania University. Also duties of noc code 4021 are also matching and the letter head is also not fem university so i thought 4021 is the right match.
By the way are u working directly working in an university.

Okay, if that is the case then see which way is most safest. If you choose to switch 4021, then mention this matter in LOE. Also, there is one thread for reasons of rejection, may be you can find something there.

I was working in university for 4 years (therefore will opt for 4011), currently I am engaged in my academics.

Yes, use 2173. It's your roles and responsibilities that matter, not your actual job title.

In my opinion, 2173 in IRCC catalogue is more functional than technical. Do go through 2174 as well, as the job responsibilites mentioned under 2174 are more dev oriented.
To answer your question, job title doesn't matter that much. As long as your reference letter satisfies the responsibilites mentioned by IRCC under certain NOC, you should be fine.

Seniors please guide....My designation doesn't say "software developer"....But my roles & responsibilities match that of software development NOC 2173.can I select 2173 ???

My title is Systems Engineer. But I chose 2173 as my roles and responsibilites were matching them.

There are various titles given by different IT companies. I even saw Rockstar JavaScript Developer somewhere :p

That doesnt mean he cant apply for immigration

If they actually land in Canada, the pessimistic people probably leave when things get tough, or just complain about how Canada sucks. I met someone like that who immigrated to the US after being lucky enough to win the diversity lottery. Oh boy, she had so many bad things to say about the US and was not a patient person at all. She was always looking on the bad side of things and was just a mean and rude person overall, always finding fault in people and talking about how bad the US is. She also kept talking about leaving but for some reason hadn't left, as of a couple years ago. I had to distance myself from her because the bad things she said about me were getting to be too much, and I am glad to have fallen out of touch with her since then.
You had done the right thing :) don't heed to those of the pessimist. The moment I filled my profile in EE, I set my mind to be ready for anything. Am not making up any barricade and restriction in search of Job.
AS you had said, you should be ready to face any ordeal which will be thrown at you. Unfortunately so, there are many who doesn't have ,much needed patience and will, and end up emigrating from Canada to their origin.

Hi all ,

I am planing to re-create my EE profile to increase chances if NOI (since my profile was created on Dec last year).

My NOC is 0124 and CRS 433.

Need to know, if Ontario is issuing NOI'a still or are they still closed up?

Also one more query, do people with NOC 0124 (marketing and advertising) get ONIP as well ? (CRS - 433)

Many be some other member can answer this. With respect to other query, No, Ontario stopped issuing the NOI's.

hi everyone I am in a dilemma. I got an ITA in the last draw with 441points. As my primary noc I put my PhD as I am doing a paid phd. Yet I am dubious now if I should consider this as work. even without the phd i get the same crs because i have enough work experience (in different nocs) but i am not sure now if i should consider phd work or education... should i reject this ita and create another profile with only the previous work experience? then i am not sure if points will be again at 440...I am so confused...

Back from hibernation.

Draw in the first week means we surely can expect another draw in August or more than one (being hopeful) :)

Let's all pray to which ever God's we believe in and be hopeful.

I saw alot of people spread negative message here on a facade of being realistic.....Be realistic guys but don't be negative. To all such people, I would like to quote Bambi to you - "If you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all" :)

Cheers. Let the hope remain!
