I haven't seen one of these threads so I thought I would start one for anyone with questions about their applications being process in Ottawa

My wife is applying outland from South Korea and her application went to Ottawa VO. She was previously in Canada on a student visa and it is still valid but we are living in Korea now. I got a request back in June asking for proof that I the sponsor intend to return to Canada which we did right away. At that time our background check on my CIC changed to this:

We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

So we are hoping the application will be processed soon. Her medical was just passed today. It was a long wait at the hospitals here so we had to send it a little late.

My wifes background check has been started since about June 20th This is what it says on GCkey

Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

We are April applicants they received our application on April 23rd

Yours is moving along fast. I have been waiting since may 24 and mine has not started yet

I've been waiting since March 10th and mine hasn't started yet.

I applied in February. As far as I know I'm still waiting on eligibility and haven't even been transferred to the Ottawa VO.

That is strange. But I've seen others who haven't been transferred too. We applied march 29

Nope. My GCKey updated to need of additional docs but received no email.
